Summary
After a disastrous mission, Spock
demandsconvinces McCoy to allow him to help via a Vulcan ritual (it’s a massage); heavy on the spones but Kirk is definitely still part of it.“There is a Vulcan ritual,” Spock says. “I believe it would help ease your muscles, and bring you some relief.”
McCoy shifts his jaw to the side, back. “That's not necessary, Spock, I just need—”
“It is a ritual we do not often perform for non-Vulcans,” Spock says, smoothly speaking over him. McCoy glances at the door, down at his own half-naked body, and then up to Spock's face. He doesn't quite swallow his sigh, but he nods.
“I'm sure I'd be honored,” he says.

Summary
McCoy dies, and Kirk breaks his hand on a wall. Kirk dies to save McCoy, and McCoy breaks his hand on Spock's face for not stopping him. Spock dies, and he doesn't have to see what happens next, because the day resets. The day keeps resetting. McCoy keeps dying.
“Spock, get him out of here, will you?” McCoy says, turning that crooked half-smile on Spock, and Spock focuses on his next inhalation, his next exhalation.
“Open the door, Dr. McCoy,” he says.
McCoy rolls his eyes, but Spock's far more focused on the faint trembling in McCoy's hand. “C'mon,” McCoy says, “this is the logical solution, Spock. Someone has to stay. I'm already here. You two can move faster than I can, anyway. Get him back to the ship.”

Summary
Kirk, Spock, and McCoy are stuck in a closet-sized room. In an hour, the man who captured them will hopefully come back and set them free. McCoy is trying not to focus on the impossibly small quarters or the possibility of them running out of air. Spock and Kirk, who are standing very snugly on either side of McCoy, are more focused on other things, like the way their doctor's body fits so well between theirs.
“I'm warming you up,” Kirk says.
His mouth is pressed against the side of McCoy's neck, so he can feel it against his skin when Kirk speaks, and he has to resist the urge to squirm. Kirk's probably doing the same thing Spock is doing—trying to get his face warm—but McCoy didn't exactly sign up to be their personal space heater.
“I'm sure Spock would like to be able to breathe,” McCoy says. Spock uses his grip on McCoy's stomach to try to somehow pull McCoy in even closer, and McCoy hisses a little. “I also need to be able to breathe!”
“If you can speak, you can breathe,” Spock says firmly.
