Summary
The Five-O Task Force isn't always cut out for the cases that cross their desks and they have to ask for some help. Sadly, those that are in a position to help don't always wish to do so. But Steve McGarrett doesn't take no for an answer and rarely likes to give up control of a situation. He may have finally met his match, but only time will tell.
Eventually will be a McGarrett/OFC story.

Summary
You’re getting a second story in this series. YAY!!! I’m very excited about this if you can’t tell. I think I did rather well capturing the spirit of the show in my first story. Let’s see if I can do it again. There are going to be more characters from the series in this story and even though I’m not following the series, I do plan to draw in a few of the episodes (or parts of episodes) I like and remember and around the correct times. The same goes for some of the characters (Joe and Hirsch, I’m looking at you.) Feedback is appreciated to keep me honest and to feed my soul.
Enjoy.

It was almost two months since he had asked her out and had the pleasure of kissing her for the first time (and second and third and…). Sadly, between her own work, which including a trip to the mainland, and the cases that came across Five-O’s desks, they hadn’t been able to schedule their evening out until now. Thankfully, he had seen her regularly and gotten her help on a few of his team’s investigations, which meant they got to spend time together.

There’s a third story. Who woulda thunk it?? WOOHOO!!! While I was writing the second story, ideas for a third just came to me and I already have nine chapter ideas, so that’s almost a full story. There are going to be more characters from the series in this story and even though I’m not following the series, I do plan to draw in a few of the episodes (or parts of episodes) I like and remember and around the correct times. The same goes for some of the characters (it’s a surprise this time). Feedback is appreciated to keep me honest and to feed my soul.

“But why? Being involved in a trial would probably be entertaining for you. What’s the reason you think you wouldn’t be a good juror? You believe in justice above all else and that’s the jury’s job.”
“Actually, it’s not.” She sighed and continued. She knew what he was doing and wanted him to understand. “It’s to weigh the evidence that’s presented. And while I’d have no problem doing that, I’d also be reading everyone’s body language, looking for tells and seeing who’s lying. Then I wouldn’t be doing what I’m supposed to be doing, which is just focusing on the evidence. Do you get that?” She looked at him, begging him to understand.
