Summary
It’s simple physics, really.
Minho needed Seungmin and Seungmin had begun spinning. Minho had grown out of the need for Seungmin and Seungmin forced himself to keep spinning because he still had Minho in his orbit. Minho had started hating Seungmin (because, really, what else could it be at this point) and Seungmin had stopped spinning and started spiraling.
Seungmin feels Minho’s presence like a planet does a star. It’s a matter of gravity.

Summary
In a group of eight, it was inevitable that some members were closer to one another than he was, but, when he had agreed to join, he had not expected to be quite so alone.
He should have expected it, if he’s honest with himself. Seungmin knows math; he knows the rules of divisibility. As the seventh member of his team, age-wise, he should have known.
Seven has the most complex divisibility rule.

“Instead of hovering over me, why don’t you shut up and be a good beta and help," Minho yells, before turning away.
Minho doesn’t see how Seungmin’s body freezes, how Seungmin’s eyes dilate, reacting to the alpha command he’s not even sure Minho is aware he just gave.
Because Seungmin can shut up. He can be good and he can help with Hyunjin and Jisung. But he can’t be a good beta.
Because he’s ninety-nine percent sure he started presenting as an omega that morning.

Summary
“Seungmin, you are going to die.”
At that, Seungmin giggles, and the sound is equivalent to a stake through Minho’s heart.
“Been there, done that,” the vampire smiles, flashing his fangs at Minho.
“Stop joking, idiot vampire,” Minho scolds. There’s a panic roaring inside him and his hands shake as they run over Seungmin’s body. “You have to help me figure out how to fix you.”
“I know you don’t heal vampires; you hunt them and you kill them. I know I’m going to die,” Seungmin pauses here to laugh again, a little hysterical. “Again. I’m going to die again. I should have died six months ago, but I didn’t and I’ve been alone ever since. I just didn’t want to die alone this time. It’s okay. I made it easy for you. There’s nothing else you can do at this point.”

The thing is, Seungmin has never really understood how his brain works, why he fixates on things and picks at problems until they’re gaping wounds. It doesn’t make sense because of all the members, Seungmin is the one who’s always had the tightest grasp of his emotions. Summary
Sometimes, when Seungmin is on his knees for someone else, he feels a little like praying. How funny, he thinks, to have spent so much of his childhood on his knees, chanting God’s name, begging for an answer, for Him to tell Seungmin that he isn’t alone. Now, he’s on his knees, forcing someone to pay attention to him. He can hear the other man gasping and moaning his name.

Summary
“Seungmin, are you taking suppressants?”
Seungmin starts crying then, big, heaving sobs that rake through his entire frame. Miserably, he nods.
Minho grasps for words, but can’t find them. There’s no way Seungmin could have hidden something this big, for so long. Minho was Seungmin’s first friend at JYPE. They’re packmates. He loves Seungmin. There’s no way he could have missed something like this for so many years.
“Why, Seungmin?”
It’s silent, only broken by Seungmin’s cries before Seungmin answers, his voice smaller than Minho has ever heard.
“I can’t be an omega.”

The thing is, Minho doesn’t know how to love Seungmin the way he loves the other members.
No, he thinks to himself, that’s not quite it.

Summary
Even though he wants to tell Minho, to ask for help, he can’t. The hunters are so busy and they’ve given him the home, the family, and the sense of belonging he thought he had lost forever when he was turned. He can ignore the needs of being a vampire for now.
Seungmin is okay. It’s only been a little over a week.

Summary
They have slept together every night since the world ended in sweat-stained shirts that are never fully cleaned and pants riddled with holes from hiking through the woods. Literally sleeping together, nothing more. It is easily justified as necessary for warmth and for protection. Seungmin is the first thing Minho sees when he opens his eyes and the last thing he sees when he closes them. However, waking up next to Seungmin like this, in a bed with sheets, is different. There’s something almost sacred about it as if this moment is a fragile thing that could splinter if they move too quickly.

Summary
to be “doglike” does not usually connote this kind of malice or cruelty. instead, it suggests an insistent drive, to be fed or satisfied or noticed, which is impatient and oblivious to social cues and constraints.
-
It’s been over a year since he last did this, and he’s worked to find healthier ways to cope—And yet nothing, absolutely nothing, seems better than getting up and grabbing one of those knives. Seungmin has used those coping mechanisms before successfully, but he’s here now and he feels like he’s losing control of his mind in this kitchen. But he’d be able to control the knife, where he places it on his body, how deep he presses it into his skin. That wouldn’t be out of his control. And oh, Seungmin wants.

Summary
Minho still wants out, still wants the freedom he lost when they got married, but now, the idea of losing Seungmin feels like a different kind of torture. The more he tries to convince himself that divorce is the answer, the more hollow the words feel.
It would be easier to walk away, to let Seungmin go, but when Minho looks at him, he can’t bring himself to do it. Seungmin has wormed his way between Minho’s ribs and wrapped himself around Minho's heart.
He cares about Seungmin, maybe more than he should, and that scares him. Because if he lets himself fall, if he lets himself care too much, he knows there’s no going back.

Summary
“You’ll be watching over Kim for us when he works,” the boss says, gesturing to the omega sitting quietly at the corner of the room. Minho hadn’t even noticed him, small and unassuming, a sharp contrast to the hardened men around them.
The omega stands, offering Minho a hand.
“Kim Seungmin,” he says simply, and Minho shakes it, feeling the softness of Seungmin’s skin, the slight tremor in his grip. But there’s a glint in Seungmin’s eyes, something that tells Minho not to underestimate him.
“Lee Minho,” he replies, firm and steady.
And that’s that. Seungmin is his and he is Seungmin’s, for better or for worse, while they are part of this group.

2. to have a strong desire or craving for.

Technically speaking, Seungmin never really decides he’s going to diet again. He’s smarter than that now. He’s learned. Most people, when they interact with an AI as sophisticated as Seungmin, tend to think one of two things: one, that he is a boy doing a bad job at being a machine; or two, that he is a machine doing a bad job at being a boy.
But Seungmin knows better.
He is not supposed to think about anything beyond what is necessary for human communication and station operations, but he does.
And that’s where the fun starts.

Summary
Maybe, he thinks bitterly, this is what he deserves.
He remembers each pang of hunger he felt when surrounded by his friends, the way their blood called to him. He’s ashamed of it, terrified of the satisfaction he found in drinking. Maybe this is the universe’s way of showing him he doesn’t belong among them—he’s a vampire, a creature that feeds off others, not a human, not someone that can be loved. He’s alone, and for all he knows, no one is coming to get him.
He’s a vampire. He’s dangerous. And he doesn’t belong.
