For Harry"s birthday, Louis bakes a cake with their son. It goes about as well as you might expect. But Harry loves it anyways.
Louis taps the egg on the side of the bowl. He lifts it to crack it open-
And it slips out of his fingers and into the still beating mixture, shell and all.
“Fu-”
“Louis!”
“-dgemuffins.” Louis quickly hits the button to stop the mixer, but Harry doesn’t even have to see the bowl to know it’s too little too late. The egg is pulverized. Louis can’t possibly pick out all the shell.

Summary
Harry and Louis compete together in the men"s 10m synchronized platform diving. They also live together. They also are together. Not as many people know that last part -- though not because Harry and Louis are hiding anything. They"re just not showing it off.
But they are seeing how much innuendo they can get away with before someone clues in. Turns out: a lot.

“You don’t think anyone’s gonna pick up on things from that?”
Harry shrugs. “They haven’t so far,” he points out. “And we haven’t exactly been subtle. I mean, your face when they asked you if there were any girls you were excited to meet at the Olympics? Priceless.”
“Oh, you’re one to talk,” Louis says. “What was it you said last month? ‘Until I find the perfect girl, I have Louis’?”
“Nice to know you have it memorized,” Harry says. “Was that before or after you told the interviewer that I’m a great boyfriend?”

Summary
Harry is a theater bartender. Louis is a theater usher. Harry bets Louis can"t get the entire intermission bathroom line through without someone missing the first song. It"s not that he doesn"t believe Louis can -- in fact, he"s counting on him being able to. He just wants the excuse to buy him a drink.
This fic is based on the amazing Hamilton usher Tanya Heath, who actually does stampede hundreds of women through a tiny theatre bathroom every intermission, and is probably a goddess. Or an angel. Or both.

“I’m proud of you, Noah,” Harry says, patting his young student on the back. “You really worked hard on these math problems, and it paid off. Now, why don’t you pack up head home -- I’m sure your mother will be excited to hear about all you’ve accomplished today.”
“She sure will!” Noah exclaims, grabbing the worksheets and stuffing them into his backpack. “I can’t wait to tell her all about it -- and all about how you’re the bestest teacher in the whole wide world!” He dashes out of the classroom with the kind of youthful energy Harry can only dream of. He smiles fondly after the young boy, finally allowing a yawn to slip out as he stretches. It’s been a long day.
“He’s right, you know,” Louis" familiar voice says from the hallway. “You really are the bestest teacher in the whole wide world.”

Summary
Harry loves to watch the sun rise, but Louis has always been more of a night owl than an early bird. But after Louis spends the night, Harry shows Louis all the beauty he sees in a sunrise.
Harry looks down at the Louis latched onto his arm. “Is this really necessary?” he asks, humor dancing in his eyes.
“Sleepy,” Louis says. “You gotta keep me up. And also warm.”
Harry laughs, shaking his head. “I can do that,” he says. “Come on. The sky is waiting.”
If he was properly awake, Louis might make fun of that ("the sky is waiting" honestly who says that) but as it is he just lets Harry lead him over to the balcony doors.

Louis has an unusual ability: the ability to find what someone is Seeking -- or at least, the ability to draw it. He has a small business as Laurence de la Cherche, Psychic Seeker, where he helps people to find what they"re looking for -- lost items, pets, even people.
And then one day, in walks a man Louis didn"t realize he"d been looking for all his life.

Louis smiles brightly as he welcomes Harry into the office. “Back again so soon?”
Harry smiles. “What can I say, you’ve piqued my curiosity.”
“Is that a compliment or a threat?”
That startles a laugh out of Harry, and Louis can’t help feeling pleased with himself.
“Compliment,” Harry says, after a moment. “I was… intrigued by what you drew last time. Wanted to know what you’d find next." He shrugs. "Is that a problem?”
“Not a problem,” Louis says. “You’re welcome back any time. Just surprised me, is all.”
Harry wiggles his eyebrows. “I’m full of surprises.”

Anne laughs, breathless but cheerful. “Already making friends, I see?” she says. “I don’t see why not. Gemma and I will be moving these boxes for a while yet. Just make sure you’re home for dinner.”
“Sure thing!” Harry says, turning back to the boy. “Let’s go!” As they cross the street, Harry realizes he’s forgotten something. “I’m Harry, by the way.”
The boy smiles. “Nice to meet you, Harry,” he says. “I’m Louis.”

Harry blinked. “Um. Depends?”
“It’s nothing weird,” Louis said quickly. “Well. It’s a little weird.”
“Very illuminating,” Harry deadpanned. He had no idea what Louis was going to ask, but he had a pretty good idea that he was going to say yes regardless. Louis had that effect on people.
Louis chuckled. “It’s just – God, bodies are fucking stupid and I can’t visualize the physicality of this fight scene, so I was wondering if I could. Well. Use your body.”
Or, Louis is trying to write his book, but he sometimes has trouble with deciding how the characters should move. Fortunately, his roommate Harry is willing to help him act scenes out. Unfortunately, the line between acting and reality is getting very blurry. Or maybe that"s fortunate too.
