This time, from Copia's POV.
Oh baby, she coos at him, soft little chirps falling from her lips as her hands come up, brief and only for a moment, to touch his face before they flutter back to her sides, You did so well for me.
He can’t find it in himself to ask her if she’s going to touch him again, her hands warm against his cold skin, but he meets her eyes and she beams at him, leaning in to bump her forehead against his gently. A sign of affection.
Affection.
His breath catches then, hitches in his chest as it dawns on him.
