It rang once, twice, and then finally the call connected, letting Liam's voice come through. "Vance? Is everything alright?"
Vance nearly laughed with relief, and he had to lean against the side of the truck again to take the weight off of his injury. "Hey, babe. I'm, uh... I think I'm fine, mostly? I just." He let out a breath, unsure how to explain the situation. "...I got into a wreck out here. Truck's completely totaled."
