Summary
The plan was simple: go back in time, destroy Jenova, get rid of the reactors, save the Planet. Unfortunately, it failed to account for anything that could go wrong, mostly because anything could go wrong, and it wasn’t really possible to account for that.
Yet, of course, what went wrong was the last thing Cloud expected, or rather something Cloud didn’t expect at all, because seriously, what was right about any of this?

Summary
“That would mean I own you.”
With an embarrassing yelp, Rufus Shinra dropped the little golden kitten as it flashed its claws and hissed, almost like it could understand what he had just said. The attempt at intimidation had gone completely sideways, he realised with a groan as he watched Cloud sequester itself away under the couch again, three brand new claw marks on the new President Shinra’s usually pristine face.
Why had he adopted this stupid stray again?
(Cat AU that’s still vaguely set in canon, where Shinra still rules the world but as a militarised cat café, with an overworked Rufus Shinra as an outwardly reluctant secret cat lover who is very much not loved back by his cats (Sephiroth and Cloud), much to his resignation. Oh, and Hojo really hates being a vet)

Summary
Cloud has definitely woken up to better situations, and he is very, very, very certain he knows whose fault this is. There’s only one person he knows who shares the same silver hair and green slit-pupil eyes as the child who looked disturbingly like himself in everything but colouration sitting in front of him right now.
Sephiroth.
Cloud decides he is going to bring Sephiroth back, just so he could have the pleasure of killing him again.

Summary
Zack Fair is gunned down in the wastes of Midgar, returning to the Lifestream, and while he floats there, unknowing, unseeing, unbeing… he hears Cloud. Just as he pulls through the green haze to try and talk with him, help him, comfort him what with all he’s been going through, he opens his eyes to see Cloud looking down at him, worried, in a cadet uniform.
“Sir? Are you alright?”
Behind him, a single black feather drifts down.
(Zack is, inexplicably, back in the past, but he struggles with reconciling the Sephiroth of the past he should know, and the Sephiroth of the future that he does know, in a bout of what seems to be ever-worsening paranoia, except… is it really all just paranoia…?)

Summary
When Aerith had mystically appeared in front of him and asked for a favour, Cloud should have ran for the hills instead of crying and sobbing and agreeing to anything she said.
And now, he was meant to become Sephiroth’s foil in some other wacky universe. The villain that would push Sephiroth to become the hero, in the same way Sephiroth did for him.
Cloud had no idea what he was doing.

Summary
There’s a reason Cloud really loved the only mobile game he played, Final Fantasy. It was because there were two characters in there who were basically splitting images of him and his boyfriend—same names and all! It was a really serendipitous coincidence. And yes, it was a gacha, and he and his boyfriend were UR rarity units, but Cloud was determined to get them, no matter how much (of Sephiroth’s) money it took.
In another universe, Cloud has definitely experienced a lot of weird shit, but being hurled into an entirely different dimension while engaged in battle with his nemesis? That certainly was… new.
