Summary
Loki gets his heritage confirmed, and while he plans to go back to Asgard he's starting to like Jotunheim. Despite being alone and at the mercy of the royal family. Despite not feeling like he fits in. Perhaps, though, he's better off fitting in poorly on Jotunheim than not at all on Asgard.
Thor isn't about to let his little brother rot in a frozen wasteland. He's going to rescue him, before the monsters hurt him. Never mind that this act may very well bury the peace treaty in an unmarked grave.

Summary
Unrest is brewing in the Nine Realms as Jotunheim's increased power threatens Asgard's superiority. War seems unavoidable, it's on the tip of everyone's tongues, someone just has to step up and declare it.
Asgard attempts to forge an alliance with Svartalfheim while Jotunheim takes an opportunity to steal a few things. Clearly Asgard doesn't need them if they're just gathering dust in a basement...
Odin might consider his move clever, but how will Thor manage in a different culture - with a species he never viewed as equal? How long can an Aesir prince stay among Dark Elves?

Summary
If it is war the Jotun dogs want, then war is what Odin will give them. Svartalfheim will stand with him, or fall a second time. He is secure in the strength of his golden army, confident in his ability to lead. Since Bor defeated the Dark Elves no one has defeated Asgard in battle.
Farbauti, whose very name means 'cruel killer', was little more than a child during the last war. It was never her pretty face nor her slender figure that made her Queen, it was her ruthless military genius that first made Laufey notice her and raise her up above even himself.
Alflyse, for all her womanly charms, rules a people who are notorious for only respecting the strongest and the most fearsome. Those who believe she cannot command the armies of Svartalfheim are in for a rude awakening.
The Nine Realms of Yggdrasil have pledged their allegiances. The stage is set. Losing is not an option.
