I never understood how Jiang Yanli was claimed as a goddess in the eyes of fans regarding Wei Wuxian.
Nor, how Jin Zixuan became infatuated with her over night.
Jiang Yanli had no knowledge, nor any character traits that benefited her future marital sect. She lacked so much. She was of no use to her husband or sect.

Notes:
While all of the stories are technically one-shots, they can be read as companion pieces. They all exist in an AU where instead of dying at Qiongqi Path, Jin Zixuan was injured, and Wen Qing saved his life. As a result, it was agreed to leave Wei Wuxian and the Wens alone. They are still shunned and outcasts, but everyone is still alive.
