Summary
When Sam was younger, Mr. Miyagi (her grandfather in all but name) told her a story about regrets buried deep, expressed too late. Now, why he told her that story, she was never quite sure. But the moral of Mr. Miyagi’s story stuck with her even now.
Or: Sam makes a decision just before the tournament that changes things.

Summary
“Time travel isn’t real, Aisha.”
“You’re right. Maybe we just ended up on the wrong side of town and happened to come across another old karate master who saved another Daniel from a bunch of bullies. Happens all the time, right?”
In the midst of their fight, Tory and Sam, along with Aisha, find themselves transported 34 years in the past, a few months before the All-Valley Tournament that changed everything.

Sam wakes up to find herself safe at home, her parents greeting her with warm smiles. Her efforts at the All-Valley have been rewarded, and she should be happy.
And yet...something bothers her.

Summary
With the AU being so Sam-centric, and the story itself being (mostly) streamlined, I figured I'd make a place for any deleted/bonus scenes!
Bonus scenes are still "canon" to the AU–they just offer additional perspective from the POV of another character. Deleted scenes, however, didn't make the cut at all, so they're not "canon" per se.
