Summary
Leo was a cruel man - cold and calculating. His name was feared throughout Nohr, Hoshido, Nestra - through all the kingdoms on their unnamed continent. Because everyone knew that there was no one more powerful than Leo. Sure, Corrin had bested him before, during the war, but that was years ago. They had both been practically children then. Leo had grown. Stories travelled like wind to all the places where people still lived. Stories of his cruelty and his prowess on the battlefield. Garon had been a hated king - but Leo was a monster. Rumors travelled that he had killed his mother as well as many of his half-siblings as a child, that he had bested his father’s most trusted sorcerer when he was just fifteen, that he had summoned hoards of Faceless during the war, that he was sleeping with both his retainers, that he wielded the legendary tome Brynhildr, that it had been him who had really killed the king all those years ago. The rumors were whispered and never spoken because the whole world, it seemed, lived in fear of King Leo’s wrath.

Summary
Everyone loved Queen Elise. No one knew the exact events which had transpired to place her on the throne, but whatever they were the people of Nohr were glad they had. They had no idea that sweet, pretty, gentle, and kind Elise had slaughtered her way to the top. They probably wouldn’t have believed it if someone had told them. Not Elise, who had brought wealth and prosperity to Nohr, who visited the orphanages every week to see what she could do to help, who gave memorial speeches for every dead soldier and cried while doing it. No, not Elise, Elise couldn’t hurt a fly - or so they thought.

Summary
Xander was dead. This man sitting on the throne and wearing the crown of twisting black metal wasn’t Xander. He was the king of Nohr. And the things that his people said about him were brutal. Almost as brutal as he was. They said that he became the wielder of Siegfried when he was only sixteen. They said that he had slept with his sister. They said he had killed his own siblings over politics. They said that he had no love for his wife or his children. They said that with the king there is a pain that never leaves.

Summary
Corrin was the queen of Nohr, and Azura was the queen of Hoshido. The people of both their countries talk quite a bit about them. They say that they’re both foreign princesses from a far away land that neither can remember. They say that Corrin killed all of her siblings from both countries, and that Azura helped her. They say that Corrin’s children also belong to a magical dancer from another world who disappeared mysteriously years ago. They say that Azura married the Crown Prince of Hoshido with the plan to take his throne all along. They say that she killed him without hesitating even though they’d had two children together. They said that Corrin and Azura are cousins and that they have been planning to take over both their countries since they were children. They say that Garon, the former king of Nohr, was the one who taught them to be cruel. All it is is rumors in the wind. But doesn’t it all seem so true?
