Whoa man this is brilliant. Not entirely sure how to describe it but in a nutshell. Plot is a lot better explained than I imagine was done in the show, the parabati bond is really explored better, Alec and Magnus have a slower but arguably better start, Lydia is amazing and there’s a lot of world building and truly amazing characterisation with a secret society of Jewish peoples who are sort of a shadowhunter equivalent and totally awesome.
