Summary
When Ozpin reincarnates, it's a little closer to home. Forced to rejoin a fight he walked away from a decade ago, Taiyang was prepared to defend his family against Salem – but seven children were a few more than he was expecting to protect.
In other words, this is a totally outlandish AU in which Tai gets more than two minutes of screentime.

Summary
After the Fall of Beacon, Taiyang woke up with a wizard in his head. Now, that wizard is gone – mostly – leaving him with seven kids to ride herd on, a mystic artifact to deliver, and entirely too many questions left unanswered. As secrets force their way into the light, he's reminded all over again why he walked away from Ozpin's war.
This time, he doesn't have that luxury. What he does have is family... if this doesn't tear them all apart.

Summary
Jinn's reveal put more into question than just the state of the world. Having already lost Ozpin once, Qrow is afraid he may have never known the man to begin with. But this is one question Tai can answer for him: as shattered as Ozpin may be at the moment, his love for Qrow rings through loud and clear.
Takes place between chapters 8 and 9 of The Wizard and I. Completely optional for that story.

Summary
Adam wouldn't be the first person Qrow killed to protect his niece, but he might have been the most enjoyable. Seemed like Yang and her little girlfriend took care of the problem themselves, though. Too bad – Qrow would've loved to show Taurus exactly how much he'd fucked up. At least he knew Yang could take care of herself. And at least he knew better than to try getting her a celebratory drink for her first murder.
His firecracker was a strong kid. She'd be fine. The emo one, on the other hand, she was another story. Qrow had some experience with skittish kids running from violent trauma. He'd see what he could do.

Blake isn't sure what to make of Yang's uncle.

Summary
He missed the comfort of his bedroom so badly it hurt. It was safe there, back where nothing could hurt him, where Summer sat on the nightstand and Qrow saw him between missions like nothing was wrong.
Tai and Qrow take a moment in Atlas to reflect on how far they've come.

Summary
“Did you mark me?”
“Did I…?” Qrow nodded to his shoulder, and Tai slapped a hand over it, fingertips just brushing the curling feathers of Raven’s emblem. His eyes widened. “No! No, I didn't.”
Qrow let out a breath. “Okay.”
“Did you… want me to?”
“I don't know.”
In some ways, Tai's mark is already written in Qrow's skin. The tattoo is more of a formality than anything.
That's one reason Qrow's ready to let the answer be “yes.”
(Semi-canon to the YBR-verse and set at some nebulous point in the future.)
