“Maybe you’re verbally saying no,” George argues, “Maybe you don’t want to admit it to yourself, but I can see it Dream, I’m not fucking blind. Because I— I want you, Dream. And I know you want me too.”
Dream shuts his eyes. “Protectiveness and love aren’t the same thing," he snaps tiredly.

George is whipped — because Dream is tall, freckled, beautiful, and has a laugh that can cure cancer.
And Dream is probably interested in him too, if the fact that he keeps popping up everywhere George goes isn"t proof enough of that.But what George doesn"t get is just why Dream is so intent on pushing him away.

George reaches for Dream’s hand and squeezes, offering a reassuring nod. Dream’s eyes look soft, like he’s recalling something sad. "For sure,” he promises. “I care about George very much.”
“...then good,” Sapnap huffs with a relieved smile, his shoulders relaxing. “You guys are my best friends, so… I’m trusting you two to take good care of each other, okay?”
