“Jason, this is my best friend Wally. Wally, this is my little brother.” Dick beamed as he introduced the two.
Wally stuck out his hand with a smile. “Hi!”
Jason’s eyes narrowed but he accepted Wally’s handshake. His hand was warm. Very warm. Wally let go, flapping wildly to cool down his skin.
Jason smirked. “Pleased to meet ya.”
Wally raised an eyebrow. “Likewise.”

Tim locked the door behind him just before the familiar tingle of magic rushed through his body as he began to transform. His clothes melted into his skin, his bones morphed and fur began to sprout from his arms and legs. Mere seconds later, a small black cat had replaced the boy, and Tim slipped into the shadows.
Time to go birdwatching.

“Nothing,” Tim said, too fast, too skittish. He’d never believe that.
“Bullshit. Something obviously is, or you wouldn’t have come to my room in the middle of the night. Just spit it out now.” Tim opened his mouth to object, but Jason waltzed right over him. “I’m a bat, we’re stubborn as hell, you know that. I can play this game far longer than you.”
