Summary
When Percy took this job six months ago, the last thing he had expected were random celebrities walking in and ordering caramel macchiatos.
Luckily, he"s a New Yorker through and through (despite living in LA) and has perfected the unperturbed face usually reserved for people on the subway.
(It"s a sign that he must really miss home if he"s thinking nostalgically about the subway system.)

Summary
The best thing about Percy’s life is that he has managed to score a date with The Annabeth Chase.
The worst thing about Percy’s life is that he has no fucking clue how he’s supposed to pull this off.
She’s a famous actress. So it’s not like he can just take her to Olive Garden and he does not have the budget for something super fancy and oh, did he mention, she’s famous, so going out in public is going to be an issue and—

Summary
Nothing like dating a girl for a month and a half only to have her leave to a foreign country for three weeks. (And for those of you keeping count that’s practically the same amount of time he’s been dating her…kinda…you get the point).
But he doesn’t complain because how could anyone complain when they’re dating the Annabeth Chase. And also he doesn’t really have a right to complain because though they’ve been exclusively dating she’s not officially his girlfriend or anything.
Which leads him into a weird place of not knowing how to act. Does he text her more since they’re not seeing each other, should he call? Or would that just get in her way because she’s busy with work and who is he to interrupt that?

He wakes up far more disoriented than he should be for waking up in his own bed. But a second later it comes rushing back to him like wave. (Well, more like a typhoon) He turns his head to the side to confirm that he is not, in fact, dreaming.
And there she is.
Annabeth freaking Chase, with her blond hair splayed out on the pillow, her bare shoulder peaking out from under the blanket.

Summary
“Where are we going?” Annabeth’s sleepy voice mumbles as she leans against his arm. He chuckles at how adorable she sounds and leads her right up to the passenger’s side of his car.
“You’ll see,” he replies softly, finally answering her question. “You can go back to sleep, I’ll wake you up.”
“I can stay…awake…” she’s already drifting off to sleep before she can finish the sentence, pulling the blanket even tighter around herself.

Summary
When Annabeth had given him a pass and told him he"s free to visit anytime, he had nervously accepted it and never thought that he’d actually ever use it.
But since he’s gotten an impromptu day off, he musters up some courage and desperately tries not to look as lost as he feels as he approaches the row of buildings. But he’s a New Yorker through and through and has perfected the careless indifference that comes with occasionally getting lost on confusing NY streets.
He walks up to the gate and casually waves his pass at the guards, apparently doing such a good job at looking like he belongs that after a quick check, they let him go wordlessly.

Summary
It’s one of those days where both Percy and Hazel are on staff. Usually, there’s only really the need for one of them to be there, but Hazel had decided to come in early to get more hours.
Not that Percy minds the company for the last half hour of his shift. He actually really likes Hazel and her quiet but witty humor. She’s also been in the business longer, so there’s always something to learn from her.
She’s in the middle of regaling one of the plethora of crazy stories she has from working in the coffee business in LA when the door chimes and his favorite head of blonde hair comes through.

Summary
Visiting Annabeth’s set is always fun.
Visiting Annabeth’s set as a surprise is even more fun.
So, when he walks up to the security guards with a confidence that isn’t feigned and strolls into the back of the crew quietly, he feels pretty good about himself.
Until he spots her, leaning against a stone pillar with a bright smile on her face, eyes dancing as she watches a guy approach her with his hand outstretched. A laugh escapes her lips as she accepts the hand and he pulls her closer, arms wrapping around her waist.

Summary
It’s a slow day.
So slow that Percy has taken to watching Netflix on his phone, catching up on the new docuseries about the fashion industry, featuring Piper McLean and Thalia Grace (he wants to be able to talk about it next time he sees either of them).
Never had he thought that would be his reason for watching a Netflix show.
Then again, there’s a lot he never expected from life, like intimately knowing his favorite actress.

Summary
Percy has never really been into traditional social media all that much. Not because he hates it or anything, but because he’s never been able to look good in Instagram photos (he needs a someone to teach him how to pose, like seriously what do you do with your hands?)
That said though, he has every social media platform on his phone with notifications on for the one and only Annabeth Chase.
It might seem extra, but he just calls it being a supportive boyfriend.

Summary
Earlier in the week, the precarious oven door (that admittedly had a tendency of getting stuck) decided to fling itself into its own proverbial flame and had stopped working all together. And though he can still use the stove (he’s got no idea how that’s happening but it’s better not to question it) he’s unable to bake.
Which, for Percy, is an imminent problem as his supply of blue chocolate chip cookies is dwindling.

Summary
Objectively, Percy knows it’s not real. Subjectively, it’s still his girlfriend kissing another guy.
It never used to bother him (and he’s been an Annabeth Chase fan for a long time, after all) but something about knowing how her lips feels on his makes everything different, apparently.

Summary
The first thing Percy does when he returns to New York is ride the subway.
Partly because he’s actually been missing it (something that changes real quick after that first ride) and partly because he needs a refresher on that unperturbed Cool Indifference™ face, especially given his current life circumstances.
Which include dating a famous actress and meeting her equally famous coworkers and friends. (Cool Indifference™ is what’s getting him through it, really).

Summary
“And this is the park I used to hang ou—this isn’t interesting to you,” he cuts himself short, blushing a little as he realizes he’s been rambling.
Annabeth tugs sharply at his arm, making him stop to look at her. Her sunglasses are covering a lot of her face, but he can tell from her frown that her eyes are probably stormy.
“Don’t be like that,” she grumbles. “Of course it’s interesting to me!”

Summary
Percy might not make it. And he never even got to write that memoir. He wonders if he can, quite literally, ghostwrite it after he’s dead.
As all these thoughts run through his head, his panic must show because Annabeth speaks up from beside him.
“Percy, it’s going to be okay. I promise.”

“I could eat that every day,” she mumbles into his shirt.
His smile widens as he gently moves her off so he can set the plates on the rickety kitchen table. She immediately follows suit, grabbing a fork and digging in. “I’ll make it for you every day,” he tells her, preening at her compliments.

Summary
The best part—or as Percy would say, the only important part—of living in a million-dollar home is his girlfriend.
It was the only reason he’d accepted when she had nervously broached the subject of him moving in with her. (Actually, he hadn’t seen her that nervous since that time she met his family. And he gets it, she never really talked about her wealth so their relationship was mostly free of it, but it couldn’t be avoided forever.)
But he had accepted, only because waking up next to her each morning was a sight no amount of money could ever buy. (Who’s the rich one now?)
