Summary
Sunset Shimmer fled from Equestria in search of the destiny that Celestia sought to deny to her. She dreamed of finding great glory and power in a strange new world. But she emerged on the other side of the mirror in a harsh cruel world beset by demons and troubled by division, conflict and racial animus: the world of Remnant.
Now, years later, Sunset has completed her studies at Canterlot Combat School and is ready to attend Beacon Academy. She hopes that in the more progressive Kingdom of Vale her appearance as a pony faunus will not be held against her the way it was in Atlas, and she can rise as high as her talents permit and seize with both hands the destiny she still yearns for.
Sunset finds herself assigned to lead three fellow freshman at the Huntsman Academy: Jaune Arc, who dreams of becoming a hero elevated above all others; Pyrrha Nikos, a peerless warrior who has everything that Sunset wants and hates everything about it; and Ruby Rose, a simpler and more honest soul who simply wants to save as many people as she can, and who might just light the way to their salvation.
Together they form Team SAPR, and together they might just show Sunset Shimmer that friendship can be...magic.

Summary
Sunset Shimmer has taken a good, hard look in the mirror and admitted some of her more unattractive impulses. Having managed, against all odds, to win the friendship of her teammates Ruby Rose, Jaune Arc and Pyrrha Nikos, Sunset is determined to move forward and turn over a new leaf.
However, the equilibrium at Beacon Academy is disturbed by the arrival of Team RSPT (Rosepetal) from Atlas, led by Sunset's old nemesis Rainbow Dash, the Ace of Canterlot. Team RSPT's purpose is unclear, but might have something to do with quirky and eccentric Penny Polendina, who swiftly befriends Ruby and Pyrrha.
If the arrival of the Atlesians bothers Sunset it has an even more dramatic effect on quiet, studious Blake Belladonna, who seems appalled by the presence of a faunus in Atlesian uniform. Blake's reaction to Rainbow Dash sparks a conflict that reveals Blake's darkest secrets, and puts Team SAPR in the middle of a battle with the murderous White Fang and their terrifying leader, Adam Taurus.

Summary
Team SAPR - Sunset Shimmer, Jaune Arc, Pyrrha Nikos and Ruby Rose - have survived their first semester at Beacon Academy; literally, in the case of Ruby. Now, Pyrrha has invited her new friends and teammates to spend the spring vacation with her, in the grand old city of Mistral. Having spent her whole life set apart from others, oppressed by her prodigious talent and illustrious ancestry, Pyrrha can hardly wait to share her home and culture with those close to her. Indeed, such is Pyrrha's reputation that the whole team soon find themselves introduced to some of the movers and shakers of Mistral, including Professor Lionheart, Headmaster of Haven, and his prized student Cinder Fall.
However, Pyrrha has not reckoned with her proud and formidable mother, who may not share Pyrrha's indulgence towards her teammates and has plans for Pyrrha that may run counter to her own, especially when it comes to Pyrrha's interest in Jaune.
Meanwhile, all is not well in Mistral, and with the kingdom's huntsmen stretched to breaking point Pyrrha is given an offer that her sense of duty may not allow her to refuse - for all that it may tear her away from Jaune and her friends forever.

Summary
Team SAPR have returned from their vacation in Mistral and are ready to face a new semester at Beacon Academy, joined not only by their classmates, and their Atlesian friends of Team RSPT, but also by visiting students from Atlas, Haven and Shade Academies gathered for the Vytal Festival, including Sunset's new friend, Cinder Fall.
Distant clouds gather over Vale, the White Fang continue their campaign of crime, and the presence of an Atlesian battlefleet in the skies above the city lends an uncertain air to proceedings, but Sunset is content to ignore the darkness falling outside the school and leave all such things to the proper authorities.
Or at least, she would if she could. Blake, Sunset's sort-of friend, remains grimly determined to stop the White Fang's reign of terror, and Sunset is dragged with her along a road that will overturn everything they thought they knew about the world, and lead SAPR, RSPT and Blake to the very heart of a dead city, and to the choice that will define who Sunset is for the rest of her life.

Summary
Team RSPT - and their friend and ally Blake Belladonna - have survived their dangerous mission to Mountain Glenn and the ensuing battle for the fate of Vale. But the victory has not come without cost: Penny has been badly damaged, and must be taken home to Atlas to undergo repairs at the hands of her father; Blake has been scarred on the inside by the death of Adam Taurus, and by the fact that one of his last acts was to free Fluttershy from captivity; meanwhile Rainbow Dash, brought face to face with some of her inadequacies as a Team Leader, faces the challenge of moving forward and doing better by those who depend upon her.
Together, they are drawn to Atlas - home to some, new to others - along with Weiss Schnee, who must go home and face her father as the price for his assistance during the last semester.
But all is not well in the shining kingdom. In the shadow of Atlas, faunus dwell in poverty, questions surrounding Adam's SDC brand remain unresolved, and a desperate cry for help draws Rainbow, Weiss and Blake into a new struggle against the mysterious Merlot Industries and their army of androids.

Summary
The Vytal Festival draws ever closer, as students from all four academies prepare to fight for the glory of their schools and kingdoms. But it isn't just the tourists who are gathering in Vale; the shadows gather too, marshalling under the command of Tempest Shadow. As Team SAPR, and the friends and allies they have made, prepare to meet in friendly competition, so too must they prepare for greater threats, and for the futures that await them beyond the safety of the school.
Cinder Fall has just returned from her mission against Doctor Merlot, where she joined with Team SAPR to defeat their common enemy; but her twin obsessions with Sunset and Pyrrha have led Salem to doubt her efficiency - and where her loyalties truly lie.
During the mission against Merlot, Team SAPR learned that Cinder had slain the Fall Maiden and taken the incredible magic power for herself. Now this revelation prompts Professor Ozpin to reveal a terrible secret, and propose a desperate plan that will lead Sunset, Pyrrha and Cinder to confront all their destinies as the Fall draws in around them.
