Summary
Abby fumbled with the camera in her arms and pushed it in Kane’s chest.
“Here, do it.”
Marcus passed her the flashlight and took a picture of her in front of the bed. The flash of the camera illuminated the whole room and for a moment blinded Abby.
“God, I hate this.” She sneezed.
Kane was just about to respond when the sound of breaking wood made them look up just as the chandelier was coming down on top of Abby. He was faster and managed to push her aside the crashing zone, in time for Abby to get away. Shards of broken glass flew in every direction and one nicked Kane’s cheek as he protected Abby with his body. The sound of the crash left them with ringing ears for a while, the fallen flashlight shining upon the numerous glass pieces and reflecting light all over the place.

Summary
It wasn’t a house.
It was a full-blown castle.
Over three stories high, with two towers on both sides of the entrance. The main door was actually one big gate, a mash of wood and iron forming a beautiful sculpture of a deer on the run. Five of the sixteen windows – Clarke counted them – were alight though there was no apparent movement behind them.
There was no doorbell but instead a door knocker shaped like a wolf.
Jasper hesitated for a moment and Octavia pushed him to the side, grasping the round metal part of the knocker and letting it drop against the wolf’s teeth three times. The sound was unnaturally loud and it didn’t seem to belong to the forest.
Clarke shifted closer to Bellamy and he moved closer to the rest of the group.
For a moment nothing happened and just as Octavia was about to knock again, the door opened noiselessly.

Summary
Clarke was ready to tell the person to fuck off, she was in bad mood, when her words died in her throat.
Because she was looking at Batman.
She wanted to kick herself – of course, who else could be Catwoman’s love interest than a guy dressed as Batman.
She gave him a thorough inspection – the costume was quite good, with body armour that fit in all the right places and emphasized the good proportions the guy had. The mask hid most of his face but even in the low light Clarke knew that he had brown eyes and that he clearly loved her choice of attire.
Clarke straightened her back and leaned against the wall, closer to him and his ridiculous cape.
“I suppose you’re my boyfriend then?” She graced him with a coy smile – he looked good, hopefully his personality would match; it’s been a while since she had gotten laid.
“Does my kitten purr?”

Summary
She had evil friends, evil.
Giving up, she went to sit on the couch and snagged one of the fluffier pillows and a dark blue blanket. If she was going to watch something scary at least she would muffle her screams in her pillow and squeeze her blanket to death and then some more.

[Or the one where Bellamy turned out to be almost as scared by horror movies as Clarke, and Clarke had it really bad.]Series

Summary
He was lost in thought, checking the time on his phone, when Octavia’s joyful laugh made him look up.
And promptly stare unblinkingly.
He had expected an adult, maybe in their mid-thirties or so, not a blond haired pretty looking girl with a charming smile affectionately directed to his sister.
Before he could decide if he should draw attention to himself or not, the girl had closed the door and Octavia was bouncing back to him, her little bag merrily ticking with the newly acquired candies.
-----
Turns out that taking Octavia trick-or-treating on this particular Halloween was the wisest thing he had done in a while. Meeting Clarke was better than a full bowl of candy bars and who knew that his sister will turn out to be the best wingman he could have ever wished for.Series

Summary
His fangs elongated and Bellamy smiled a sharp smirk around them.
He could wait to prey on her unsuspecting soul. And if she proved to be more than he had anticipated maybe then he would make her only his.
The shadows gathered around him and the night swallowed him whole.
Curious blue eyes looked in his general directions but saw nothing.
The board was set. It was time to play.

Summary
He kissed her back, his lip splitting and adding the bitter coppery taste of blood, but it was so fitting for their situation that she didn’t know if she wanted to cry or laugh.
His hand found hers and he squeezed her fingers – a silent encouragement – and lifted her arm up until he could make out the tiny dial and the hand that was slowly moving to point at midnight.
Twenty-eight minutes, that was all they had to endure.
The clock was ticking.

Summary
Between making Octavia angry, wondering when the heck she stopped being his little sweet sister, stalking her friend's house and indirectly inflicting on said friend a head injury, Bellamy was genuinely surprised when he didn't spend the night in the hospital. On the other hand, getting a girlfriend out of the whole order was unexpected but quite welcomed.
