Summary
Elodie Merriman couldn't accept that her favorite character didn't survive the books. She went to sleep in her bed in America in 2009 and woke up in a boarding house in the UK in 1994, having switched places with her magical self in another universe. Magical Elodie had a wand, a career, and a friend named Albus Dumbledore who had saved her from her jerk mentor--and now, Muggle Elodie had taken her place, magical ability and all.
Step One: learn more magic, fast. Step Two: don't screw up the Wolfsbane her predecessor had started. Step Three: try not to forget how things are supposed to go, once you actually meet the real life Remus Lupin. And Step Four: nothing ever, ever goes to plan when Sirius Black is involved.
On its face this is a Book Fan Wakes Up In Book World story. Inside, though, it’s a rich celebration of the adult characters in the books, with a trip through a slowly altered canon as the main character seeks to change things in a way that doesn’t get herself sent to Azkaban.

Summary
The Ministry is being infiltrated by Death Eaters. Elodie Merriman cannot keep to the plot she remembers from the books anymore, nor does she want to. Not if it means losing the men she loves.
Elodie's relationship with Sirius is as secure as it can be, especially since Sirius knows that Remus has no intention of being in a relationship with anyone, thanks to his lycanthropy. When an unexpected event brings the necessity of Remus and Elodie pretending to be a married couple, the strain brings on new feelings and old fears.
As mentioned on part I (A Solution More Beautiful), on its face this is a Book Fan Wakes Up In Book World story. Inside, though, it’s a rich celebration of the adult characters in the books, with a trip through a slowly altered canon as the main character seeks to change things in a way that doesn’t get herself sent to Azkaban.
Note: story is on hiatus for a bit; also wanted to be clear that I find JKR's views repulsive. These characters I care about are the reason I still write in 'her' world at all, but I feel certain she'd hate what I've done with it :)
