Summary
There's a voice in everybody's head, and for as long as there have been people speaking, collective wisdom has said that it's the voice of your soulmate. You might grow up with them. You might never meet. You might meet, but find you have nothing in common. But, people say, that person is out there, somewhere.
Since Phil was small, since summer days lasted forever, since he spent more time reading books halfway up trees and collecting Captain America cards than playing baseball or riding bicycles, he's known his voice was different.

Summary
Barton – Clint – has been in medical for barely two weeks, and he's apparently spending his waking hours formulating and attempting breaks for freedom.
“He can't go home unsupervised, and the barracks on-base just isn't an adequately supervised environment. He needs assistance with mobility, medication and day-to-day tasks,” explains Doctor Patil. She looks distinctly frazzled. “We've tried to explain this to him,” she adds, almost plaintively.
“He can come home with me,” Phil says, because his mouth is apparently running on autopilot today.

Summary
The bedroom's awash with stripes of morning sun. The bed's still in disarray from Clint's sleep the night before. There's a thrumming tension between them that's been present from the moment they met, from the second Phil's hand pressed Clint back into stiff hospital sheets and tried to make himself known through fumbled signs and gentle touch.
Phil hasn't let go of Clint, but he's looking a little lost. His glasses are sitting crookedly, and he's breathing through slightly parted lips. “How...?” he begins, then stops.
“I'm gonna leave them in,” Clint says. “Today, anyway.”

Summary
Though they've technically already broken the 'no sex' rule, Phil's still sticking to his guns about strenuous activity for the next three days. It's a good thing Clint's creative.
