Summary
(for your entertainment)
I’m attempting to work on an essay that’s due by end of week when Simon starts nudging my thigh with his foot. He’s on the other side of the couch, leaning back on the arm and staring at me.
“Baz, I’m bored,” he huffs. I don’t even bother shooting him a look, I think he can gather it from my silence. I know he does because he lets out a long whine and slides further down into the couch. And he calls me dramatic.
“I have an assignment due,” I say evenly. He knows that already, he chooses to either forget or ignore it entirely.
“You’re boring.”

Summary
Simon Snow is on my couch when I get home.
This raises many questions in the moment, most prominently being how did he get in? I almost ask him, but then I realize that he still hasn’t noticed I’ve even come home. He’s tucked into the arm, his tail wound loosely around his calf and body angled just right so his wings aren’t squished against the back cushions. The shocking part of the picture is the book balanced on the arm of the couch, which he is intently focused on.

Summary
I’m too sober for this.
Simon Snow is not.
It’s not every day that Snow and I are invited to the same parties, but tonight just happens to be that rare occasion. Daphne was thrilled when Dev brought it up, she thinks I spend too much time moping.
Well, she’s wrong. I don’t spend too much time moping. I spend too much time pining, which leads to just the right amount of moping. It’s a delicate balance that I have been working on for the past seven years.

Summary
It’s too early.
The sun is shining directly into my face because Snow left the damn window open again, and it burns, and it’s too early for me to be awake right now.
I turn over, onto my stomach, face buried into the pillow that smells like him. Like citrus and the remnants of a campfire, and I can tell he’s been using my products in the shower again but I can’t be that upset. I’ll obviously scold him over it later, but it will be half-hearted if not entirely fake because I’m disgustingly soft for him.

Summary
I knew Baz had some crazy specific daily routines while we were at Watford, he would spend upwards of an hour in the bathroom nearly every single morning, but I never really knew what they were.
I knew he had umpteen million posh, nice-smelling products that crowded the counter and left just enough room for my little tube of toothpaste, toothbrush, and exactly one bottle of shampoo and one bar of soap. But I never really knew what they were for.

Summary
Baz was usually a light sleeper. He always complained about Simon waking him up in the mornings, and Simon didn’t think he was being that loud so Baz must just be a light sleeper.
For once Baz was fast asleep on the couch across from Simon.
The problem is he needed to be awake.

Summary
I never thought Simon would be good at keeping a secret. (You can’t blame me, he did spend a majority of our fifth year trying to convince the entirety of Watford that I was a vampire, I was only lucky that he didn’t really know he was right.) But we’ve been snogging for over a month now and he’s not blabbed it to the entire school. Or even to Penelope Bunce, which is the most impressive, because he tells her everything.

Summary
It’s dark, quiet save for the sound of Simon’s soft snuffling. I was right, he’s already heavily sleeping, he wouldn’t know any different if I went back out there to finish my work. But now that I’m in the room, the bed is far too tempting.

Summary
There’s a playground near Simon and Penelope’s flat. It’s normally overrun by screaming children and I try my best to steer clear. (That’s hard to do seeing as it is somehow directly in the path between my flat and theirs, but I try.) It’s surrounded by a large fence, huge padlocked gate and all - but locks don’t seem to deter Simon much anymore.
