Summary

It is obvious that the child’s mother is none other than Wei Ying himself.
Besides, now that he is looking at the child up close, he cannot deny it. The child looks like what Wangji imagines Wei Ying would have looked like when he was small. The only differences are the high slant of his nose, not the soft button nose that Wei Ying possesses, and the colour of his eyes.
The boy’s eyes are- they are not the mercurial silver of Wei Ying’s own.

Zhenli follows quickly with an excited, "Papa pretty!" and Wangji's ears feel hot, even as Wei Ying seems to simultaneously giggle and flush redder.

Wei Qing sucks in an audible breath, and says, “There- Wei Wuxian, Uncle Six has a- he has a golden core, a weak one, and he has offered to- he has offered it to you.”
Wei Wuxian freezes. A golden core? Uncle Six was- he was offering him a golden core? His golden core? Even if it was a weak golden core- having a core at all gave him the opportunity to grow it. He'd already trained a core once, he could do it again.
But- but the pain of removing that core- twenty-four hours of nonstop agony, awake for all if it as the crux of all your spiritual energy was ripped out of you-
He shakes his head, and grips Lan Zhan’s hand tight. His eyes feel hot, but he pulls a smile onto his face. “Wei Qing, ah, Wei Qing, how could I ever accept that, huh? I know-”
“There is a way,” his alpha says abruptly, interrupting, so unlike him. “Wei Qing thinks we have a way to make the removal painless.”/OR/ Basically it's not a real happy AU until Wei Wuxian gets a golden core again, right?

Summary
The first discussion conference that Wei Wuxian sits in on after getting married is hosted by GusuLan. What this means is that, as the spouse of the Second Jade and mother of the heir to GusuLan, Wei Wuxian is obligated to join the conference, whether he wants to or not.
(Spoiler: He really, really doesn’t want to.)/OR/The one where initially I just wanted Lan Qiren to speak up on Wei Wuxian's behalf but somehow it devolved into just dumbass Su She bashing ft. Wei Wuxian Protection Squad.
