Description:

This is the various conlang dialogue I translated for the CW's The 100. The language I created, Trigedasleng, is an a posteriori artlang derived from modern English. The show takes place 100 years after a cataclysmic event that destroyed most humans and Earth society (about 40 years from the show's first air date in the universe of the show). Trigedasleng is what happened to English with those who survived on the ground in and around the D.C. area. Trigedasleng is the product of both natural evolution, and unnatural evolution, in the form of a widespread code that was used by a group who became the nucleus of what would go on to become Trikru.

Notes:

As a small note, the romanization I use for Trigedasleng follows Standard American Romanization, aside from the fact that d is both [d] and [ɾ], with its distribution mirroring the American usage exactly (thus d will be flapped where it would be flapped in American English). In addition, aspiration follows the American English usage as well. There is distinction between lax and tense mid vowels represented as follows: e [ɛ] vs. ei [e] and o [ɔ] vs. ou [o]. Finally, a is [æ] when stressed and [ǝ] when not stressed.
