The Toku100 Drabble Challenge
Welcome to The Toku100 Drabble Challenge! This is a spiritual successor of sorts to the old and now long gone toku100 community on Livejournal. However some of how this event operates will be a bit different compared to the original.
This challenge is about making Tokusatsu drabbles with prompts from either prompt lists or a bingo card, and going at your own pace. This event is meant to be relaxing and fun, as well as a good way to flex those storytelling muscles through making some drabbles about those special effects shows that we love!
This event runs on DW at toku100challenge but there are ways to participate without being on DW itself. You can check out the FAQ or check out the information post in the DW community right here. The challenge also runs on Tumblr at @toku100challenge.

Intro:
Welcome to The Toku100 Drabble Challenge! This is a spiritual successor of sorts to the old and now long gone toku100 community on Livejournal. However some of how this event operates will be a bit different compared to the original. This event takes place on Dreamwidth at toku100challenge.
This challenge is about making Tokusatsu drabbles with prompts from one of the prompt tables, or a self generated bingo card, and going at your own pace. This is meant to be relaxing and fun, as well as a good way to flex those storytelling muscles through making some drabbles! The rules and guidelines as well as other information are below.
While a Dreamwidth account is also not required to participate, it is highly encouraged. And it's free too! Ways to partake in this challenge without having a DW account are explained below, there is also a dedicated Tumblr account for this challenge and you can participate in this challenge on Tumblr as well. I would love to see as many fans as possible partake in this regardless of what platform they use.

FAQ:
What's the word count?:
I will be applying this ruleset taken from the old community's LJ profile itself:
"Stories here should be at least 100 words, and no more than 500.
Multiples of 100 (100, 200, 300, 400, 500) words exactly gets you the most brownie points (a gold ★ star), but we're not terribly strict around here. nice round numbers like 111, 123, 150 please our aesthetic sensibilities (and earn a red star ★)."If your writing software's word processor of choice is a little bit over or under where you post your drabble somewhere else, it isn't the end of the world. But getting that exact word count just right is highly encouraged! ^^ If you want to double check, use this word counter tool.
(But if you do end up to be a little above or below on these because word processors, just like the old comm stated in it's profile: "We're not terribly strict around here.")
And in the spirit of bringing back an old challenge in a new way: I also will allow drabble sequences. (This was inspired by seasonsofdrabbles!)
Each drabble in the sequence you write must be exactly the word count of whichever drabble type you are going for. So as an example you wanted to do a drabble sequence of four 100 Word drabbles, each drabble must be 100 words each.
If you wanted to do four double drabbles for a sequence each drabble would be 200 words, and so on and so forth.
I want to participate, but I don't have/don't want to make a Dreamwidth Account!
There is also a Tumblr account for this challenge, toku100challenge. Feel free to post your drabbles on Tumblr either through the share to Tumblr feature on Ao3 or making a post on Tumblr itself and ping @/toku100challenge (without the /) or use the hashtag #toku100challenge. Pinging the account itself is highly encouraged, since it will help me see your drabble! We all know how Tumblr's tagging system can be.
You can also can just post directly here into the Ao3 collection for this challenge if you'd like.
Even on other platforms outside of DW, this challenge is still for 18 participants only. If I find you are a minor you are banned from this event and your will be blocked and find your fics in the comm and/reblogs on Tumblr/Fics on the Ao3 collection removed.
Why is Date The Icon?:
I thought it was a fun idea. Date is out to get 100 million yen, and 100 is part of the name of this challenge. I thought it worked! Don't worry, you don't have to write 100 million drabbles.
Unless you want to do that, I am not your parent.

Rules:
There will be a table of prompts provided, make a drabble based off of each prompt! You can also create bingo cards for yourself to do as well! Tables can be found here! And rules on how the bingo works are here. You can also find the prompts from the tables listed on the challenge's Tumblr account as well as their own posts.
Feel free to copy and paste the table/bingo card code provided to your journal if you have a DW account, though this is not required.
