"Yeah, so there’s this weird thing with Leonardo, right? And maybe Leo’s imagining it, but he’s pretty sure his counterpart actually hates him...But, that’s crazy, right? Leo has his fair share of haters, but being hated by himself? Okay, that’s not entirely new either, but you get the point. Leonardo hates Leo, and he doesn’t really know what to do with that.
It’s not that Leo loves Leonardo either, but he wouldn’t say he hates him. He’s just… painfully, grossly, achingly jealous of his natural leadership skills that Leo can’t even dream of living up to."
Or, through Mikey's rusty experience opening interdimensional portals, he accidentally pulls alternate versions of themselves into their world with no way home. Everyone is adjusting pretty well except for Leonardo, who finds himself constantly at odds with Leo because of his drastically different leadership style and carefree nature. It comes to a head one day in a huge blow up, leaving Leo determined to mend and build a relationship with his counterpart no matter what.

He never noticed it before, but the lair was always cold. Up until now, he didn’t think about the feel of the cold concrete on the bottom of his feet as he walked inside since he was brought back to Earth. Well, not walked, more like stumbled as April and Donnie held him by the shoulders. Everything hurt, a lot. But the aching bones and pounding head weren’t as prominent as the sharp cold feeling when his feet dragged across the floor. He didn’t like it.
It reminded him of the Kraang prison. It was cold there too. Lifeless.

The sound of it colliding with the disgusting concrete did him in, the tears that had been burning his eyes for the past twenty-four hours overflowed, sliding hotly down his cheeks.
Donnie couldn't bring himself to care about whoever had just entered the alleyway, the noise having no doubt come from another living being. He didn't think he would care if he got kidnapped or something equally drastic. Whoever had seen him had dropped whatever they had been holding, the sound sending Donatello over the edge of the cliff he had been teetering on.

The fluffiness of the mane hitting his chin felt nice, and the soft texture of the light pink fabric rubbed against his skin nicely.
He buried his face into the back of the head, letting out a singular chirp, drawing a chuckle from his purple-clad sibling.
There was then the flash of a camera in his peripheral, and he shot his head up to see Donnie hiding their phone behind their back, a poker expression on their face.
Leo glared at them with golden orbs as they retreated from the room, but did nothing to stop them.

Leo removed his belt and the strap that held his swords, and after some maneuvering, he was finally able to see his shell clearly enough.
A thin crack about the length of his foot ran across the upper middle part of his shell, smaller cracks dotting the length, making it seem sort of like those weird-looking ladders on those metal telephone poles.
Bad scrapes also dotted the surface, making one question bubble to the front of his slowly static filling mind.
How did no one notice this?

Or, I wrote this fic because there is no way Leo's shell isn't cracked by the end in some way. He was pummeled so much he had to at least have some shell damage.
Or x2, Kind of 3 times Leo hid the crack in his shell from his family, and 1 time they found out.
