Summary
And now, Techno’s wearing Dream’s merch, and he refuses to read into it. If he does, he’ll start to convince himself of something that isn’t there, and then he’ll get his heart broken when everything eventually comes to fruition and Techno rejects him and he has to flee the country to save himself from dying of embarrassment. Sapnap might berate him constantly for “lacking self-preservation skills,” but Dream would really rather save himself from heartbreak in this scenario.
So, he will let this go. He will live with the information that Techno owns his merch, but he will not look into it. He will not think about Techno’s reasoning for buying such a thing, and he will not think about how Techno’s never mentioned owning Wilbur or Phil’s merch. He will not think about his rival wearing his signature smile, and he will not let it go to his heart, which would rapidly beat and convince him that it means something.
… And he will fail spectacularly at all of this.

George raised his netherite sword, pointing it towards Techno’s chestーwhich was eye level with the brunette. “No, you ruined my life. You took something of mine that I intend to get back, and I am going to kill you for it.” During the man’s speil, Techno managed to take out his communicator, sending a quick text that read “dream come quick, there’s a clown at my base” before focusing back on George’s words.
In all honesty, he has no clue what the ex-king means. As far as he knows, the two of them had hardly interacted, and while he did assassinate George, he returned his armor afterwards with no problem. Since then, as said before, George has pointedly stayed far, far away from any current events, so Techno doesn’t know what he possibly could’ve taken from the man. “And what could that be?”
“You took Dream.”
Techno stood there for a few moments in silence, staring at George with a blank face, before he burst out laughing, and the voices screamed in tandem.

Currently, Dream was looking through Techno’s closet, trying to find something to wear. He had taken a shower only moments ago, and his hair was still dripping down his back, but he refused to stay in the bathroom for longer than needed. His external wounds have healed for the most part, leaving behind ugly, jagged scars that Dream hates with a passion, and everything in the bathroom is so horribly-reflective, and he just couldn’t stand to be in there for longer than necessary, so here he was.
Dream would’ve much preferred to get his old sweatshirt and cargo pants back, but those garments were ripped to shreds when Dream was originally brought into prison, an orange jumpsuit taking their place on his body. During his recovery, he had been given a few white shirts and three pairs of sweatpants that he thinks belonged to Wilbur before the man died, but without anything else to do while waiting for Techno to get back, he decided to try and find something new in Techno’s closet.
The problem was: everything in the piglin hybrid’s closet is absurdly-large.
Guess he'll have to make-do with what he has.

“Technoblade?!” The mentioned man shook the glaze from his mind, focusing on the person speaking to him, before his breath got caught in his throat once he finally registered who was in front of him. There stood the man Techno’s mind was just (and totally not always) consumed by, his ex boyfriend, in all his glory.
The same outfit Techno had seen before on the woman was hugging Dream’s figure, accentuating his waist and pushing up his pecs so they look more like boo- his thighs, which were always both muscular but also soft, were covered in fishnet leggings and nothing else. There was a choker resting around Dream’s neck, a little black bow-tie used as a mock-impression of the collar of a suit. There were black heels causing Dream to appear taller than he actually is, and Techno’s sure that the blond’s calves look amazing. And, of course, there is a pair of black bunny ears resting atop fluffy hair.
If this is a dream, Techno doesn’t think he wants to wake up.

When he noticed that Techno’s attention was on him again, he grinned smugly. “Knew that would work.”
