Summary
The sound of Rengoku Kyojurou falling was something that Giyuu would never forget. Even as he fought Upper Rank Three, he was still horribly aware of the body by the train tracks, unmoving and shrouded in a blood stained haori. How could a spirit as strong and bright as the irrepressible flame hashira ever be extinguished?
(Or, Giyuu arrives in time to save the man who has occupied the thoughts of all his days and nights ever since their first mission together two years prior. And although the road to recovery won't be easy for Kyojurou, at least he won't be alone.)

Summary
It was common knowledge that all slayers, around the age of 17, tsuchinoto rank and above were required to have a designated heat and rut partner to pair up with whenever one or both slayers' mating cycles occur. Each slayer is given the option to choose their designated partner, however both parties must agree to being each other's partner, if a slayer didn't choose a designated partner within six months a partner would be assigned to them at random.
Unfortunately for Genya and Inosuke they ended up being randomly assigned to each other. But once their time together is over, will they still want to be with one another?
