Summary
Grantaire’s eyes are black.
He blinks twice, long dark lashes sweeping down and then snapping open. The pupils of his eyes - if he still had them - would be focused on Enjolras, but instead their darkness just reflects his image back, frowning and confused.
Enjolras tightens his grip on the knife he’s holding, feels his knuckles start to turn white.
Grantaire grins.

Summary
Grantaire's a famous rock star. Enjolras owns a coffee shop slash book store that makes no money and is dangerously close to becoming hipster. One night, Grantaire stumbles in when they're closed.
Somehow, that’s the most normal part of his week.

Summary
Sirens attack the crew of the dreaded pirate ship, the Musain. They send out Enjolras to deal with it, as in the past, he’s proven himself to be unaffected by their song.
Unfortunately for him, as he’s told Grantaire many times, things can (and do) change. And this change may leave his life, and heart, in the balance.

Summary
What really annoys Enjolras is that he has nobody to blame but himself.
Well, he could blame Courfeyrac, if he was so inclined, but for what? For being Courfeyrac? And he could blame Jehan and Feuilly for not warning him, but that hardly seems fair; they couldn’t have known, not really. And he could blame Combeferre for letting Courfeyrac do this to him, but that will only earn him a disappointed look over the rim of Ferre’s glasses. No, there is nobody to blame but Enjolras this time, because it was Enjolras himself who went to Courfeyrac earlier this week and said, “Set me up with someone, please.”
