Summary
When they'd been in the Academy together, she wasn't sure which of them had laughed harder at the suggestion they were romantically involved. She was looking forward to the future. And once she met Mark, she was smitten to the point where any suggestion to the contrary was absurd at the time.
Now, five years into being stranded in the Delta Quadrant, the USS Voyager stumbles upon the remains of the USS Horologium, and its' captain, an old friend of Janeway's since the Academy. They could, potentially, be more than that. They could also probably push this to the side as one of those things they never discussed. They were good at that. She was still good at it now. So the question is, what does Captain Kathryn Janeway actually want?
(Set during 5x01, "Night", will be canon-divergent during and after that.)

He’d just closed his eyes again when he heard it – a faint knock on the door. Who the hell could it be this late? Cursing under his breath, Leonard got to his feet and opened the door to see –
Jim, bedraggled and cold, looking the picture of patheticness in his doorway.
After an argument between them, Jim arrives at Leonard’s dorm room sick and afraid he won’t be let in. Leonard, of course, takes care of him anyway.
