Summary
After his mother married a man with two children of his own, before promptly dying, Izuku was a servant in his own family home. Called Deku, a hurtful name, by his supposed 'family', made to cook and clean, all the while his Step Father took joy in bringing Izuku pain.
Then, a letter goes out to the people of their small kingdom. The King is throwing a royal ball and invites any single person in the kingdom to attend. Izuku wants to go more than anything. Not to meet a prince, but to dance and have a night to himself.
With some help from a very muscular Fairy Godfather, Izuku is able to attend the ball but must leave at the stroke of midnight. Prince Shouto, on the other hand desperately does not want him to leave. He's fallen in love with Izuku in the span of a single evening.
Fortunately, one of Izuku's red shoes comes loose.

He was so concentrated on finding just what pocket he had stashed it in, the sounds of the city droning around him, the newscaster still going on and on about how they were so lucky that Spiderman came to save the day again, that he doesn’t even notice someone barreling towards him, the shouts around him that Spiderman is here! It isn’t until his feet have left the ground and his stomach has been left on the city streets below that he feels the swoop inside his chest, the sharp feel of alarm and relief warring as he sets his eyes on the mask inches from his face.

He opened it to a fresh page “Shouto-san can I have your autograph?” He gave Shouto a brilliant smile as his nose and cheeks turned an even cuter shade of red.
Normally Shouto hated doing this kind of stuff. “Of course,” he said. He knocked Bakugou off him and took the notebook and a pen from Midoriya. As he went to sign the notebook he noticed the whiteboard again. “You’re tracking that arsonist?”“Mind your business. Sign his shit and get out!” Bakugou barked.

In all his excitement, Izuku loses what little piece of his mind isn’t reserved for fighting and turns around to face Todoroki. He’s still smiling, beaming towards the other in the dark of the night, the halogen lights above flickering, the moon a barely there light through the city smog and clouds.
And the look Todoroki gives him is a little more considering, a single delicate brow raised in Izuku’s direction. Izuku can see the frost dissipating on his cheek, catches the way his breath leaves his lips in the barest exhale, steam forming like a dragon in the air. He knows he’s staring yet something about intense storm gray and arctic blue keeps him pinned, keeps his expression and body language open when he’d earlier had the urge to run.
“You’re not a bad fighter,” Todoroki comments, the words so quiet they almost get lost in the noise of a train rolling by in the distance, in the crash of waves against the pier.
