Summary
Shigaraki Izuku never intended to be a hero per-se. However, his quirk didn't exactly left him many options besides heroism. There was always the option to follow in his father's footsteps, but if the bastard didn't even acknowledge him as a son, he might as well rebel against him in any possible way.
And if Izuku decided that the best way to do so was to study under his father's mortal enemy to be the very thing his father hates the most? Well, then there's no blaming anyone but All For One.

He figured it was fine to leave it in the video, and it wouldn't be that big of a deal, and if it blew up in his face, he could always fight it back, like he usually did.
Besides, he needed to help mom make dinner tonight.
He posted the video within seconds, and by the time he'd closed the door to his room, it’d reached 3K views, and gained 26 comments.
Most of which in no way were ignoring the letter in plain sight.

Aizawa Shouta found Midoriya to be a strange kid. He didn’t act like kids should and he seemed far too comfortable with death and darkness. However, the alley cats liked him, so he couldn’t be too bad.

They say imitation is the highest form of flattery, so hopefully the hero won't be too upset if he ever finds out about it. In the meantime, Izuku might just be able to become a hero without a quirk, so he's certainly going to try.
