Summary
“Listen, Jason,” Tim says frankly down the line, and Jason tenses at the use of his real name. That doesn’t happen. Not casually, at least. “I’m pretty sure I’m going to die, so I need you to stay on the line with me.”
Jason short-circuits for a beat, and then runs the words back. “What?”
Tim takes a deep breath, and it’s steady. “I’m going to die,” he repeats, “and I don’t want to be alone, so please stay on the line.”

Summary
Tim is clever. Tim is effective. Tim is valuable. Tim can debug this stupid tracking program if it kills him. Tim doesn’t need an assistant.
Of course, if the assistant is a Lazarus-wild Jason Todd… Tim might not get a choice.

Summary
Jason’s almost to the door when he hears his name gasped out with a sob. The anguish laced into the voice makes him freeze, makes his heart stutter to a near stop, and he slowly turns towards the kid.
"Please, don't leave me."
OR: Jason discovers that the new Robin - Tim Drake - is the same kid who used to follow him and Batman around with a camera. Which is kind of a bummer, because now Jason can't kill him. Instead, he has to make sure the kid doesn't get himself killed. -

Summary
Even from this distance, Jason can see the tears in Dick’s eyes. Dick stares at the back of Bruce’s head with such raw, aching betrayal that Jason’s chest burns.
“You can’t give away someone’s name!” Jason yells.

Summary
“I could have taken care of them alone,” says the guy he just saved, finally coming out in the light to watch the last of the gang scramble away as fast as he could. “But thanks.”
Jason turns, a quip ready on his lips, but his breath gets taken away by the unexpected sigh.
Because, right here in front of him and none the wiser, is Dick Grayson himself — Nightwing, leader of the Titans, former Robin, favored son of Batman.
His big brother.
OR: Red Hood saves Dick Grayson from a mugging. Everything spirals out of his control, then. -

Summary
Damian Wayne hates being on the Watchtower. He loathes how all the members of the Justice League treat him like he’s a mascot (if they’re not eyeing him like he’s a villain-in-the-making).
