Summary
Marinette Dupain-Cheng didn't always have a last name. There was a point in her life where she was just Marinette. She didn't remember much, but she knew she was from Gotham, New Jersey. Her -now- parents found her on the streets alone. But she knows there's more to the story. More they don't know. There was a boy that helped her survive. And his name was Jason. They had been a team, but he got caught by the bat, leaving her alone. To this day, she still thought he was dead.

Summary
Marinette was finally going to see Damian again. She’d known him since they were both children. They were soulmates and had practically grown up together, with each other’s voices in their heads at all times. Now they were finally going to see each other again after all this time and she was elated. She could hardly wait.
“Patience habibti,” Damian’s amused voice filed through her mind.
“Sorry,” she replied sheepishly, “I just can’t wait to see you again, it's been too long. Talking to you hasn’t been the same since.”
“I know,” he said. His tone had changed swiftly from amusement to melancholic and she felt bad. “It is not your fault. I have felt the same since we parted ways as well.”
