Summary
Newly reconciled Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng go out for drinks after the Discussion Conference in Yunmeng. To pass the time, the Juniors go on a night hunt after finding out about a blood-thirsty yao preventing locals from accessing the main river. Except, the case turns out to be more complicated than they thought and are forced to call upon Lan Wangji for help. The yao is successfully destroyed and the case is closed, but the cost it took for it to happen has left loved ones at a loss.
In which Lan Wangji's famous tendency for being stubborn gets himself hurt and Wei Wuxian has a lot more issues to work through than he thinks.

Years after his marriage to Lan Wangji, Wei Wuxian finds his home and learns to live beyond the crushing weight of his guilt with help from the ones who love him.
Written for #DanmeiCNYFest.
Lan Wangji’s presence kept him in the present, but sometimes Wei Wuxian wanted to drown in his past.
He remembered the intense hunger that gnawed at him each day he spent in the Burial Mounds. He remembered the too-thin frames of the Wens around him, the feeling of holding A-Yuan’s dirt-covered little hands in his own. He remembered the laughter and the love, boundless in his life for the first time since he lost his parents.
He remembered the loss like a phantom limb, invisible and impossible to ignore.

Already, Lan Wangji could see how it was affecting Wei Ying, how it had shaken his already fragile confidence, his grip on his tangible experience.
He could not say that it would be over, could not pretend that this had never happened, that Wei Ying had not been hurt. What he could do, however, was love his husband. That was all. He didn’t need to do anything more.

Wei Ying is not in bed.
Normally, Wei Ying is curled up next to Lan Wangji when he wakes at five. Wei Ying will be strewn about, soft limbs and dark hair fanned and sprawled, leg over Wangji's hip, arms wrapped tightly around his chest, and face pressed into his neck. Even in sleep, Wei Ying is a bundle of energy; he is always moving. Now, Wangji wakes to a cold bed, and no Wei Ying.
A series of sleepwalking episodes leaves Wei Wuxian refusing to sleep, and Lan Wangji at his wit's end on how to deal with them. It appears, however, that it is anything but simple sleepwalking. And there is no telling just what may happen if the episodes are left unchecked.
