Summary
Crowley hates the 14th century. So far, the 15th century hasn't been much better. He's had a few chances for simple temptations, but Hell wants him reporting - in detail - on human warfare. After the Battle of Towton, Crowley is more than ready for a break. He submits his report to Hell; Beelzebub is not pleased with his glossing over some of the details - and punishes him.
Back on Earth, Aziraphale is returning home from the same war. He has accomplished the simple blessings and minor miracles assigned to him, and is looking foward to getting away from the dreadful battles to spend some time reading and copying manuscripts.
On the way home, he runs into a group of brigands attacking an obviously ailing Crowley. Stopping the brigands is easy.
Helping Crowley to recover from his injuries, the cold, and, worse of all, the trauma of Hell, war, and his memories from Before will not be so easy - but he is determined to try. -
