It’s funny, that this is what they decide to show the man stuck in a hospital bed with wings burned off so thoroughly there are only stubs left behind.

The look Kirishima gives him is so genuine, firelight flickering over his skin. Denki remembers when he was taught that dragons and dragon-shifters were dangerous and uncaring, before he met the epitome of everything opposite of that.
His eyes shift back towards the wall of the cave where Bakugou, Sero and Ashido had set up their beds, all fast asleep. The number of times they’ve had to stop everything to make sure Denki was okay after he cast too much – what if they never had to do it again?
“If we can get his okay, then sure, why not?” he says, shifting his focus back to Kirishima. “I doubt we could make it worse.”
or: Denki is cursed, and stopped trying to undo it a long time ago. Kirishima gets him to try again.
