Summary
Astarion, a recently sireless magistrate, is mocked by his brother for not living up to the Alpha stereotype. Gale is visiting the Society of Brilliance as one of Mystra's Chosen, to carry out research on Omegas in Baldur's Gate while keeping his own status closely guarded.
Both end up as participants in Sune's Hunt: a secret, invitation-only event where Omegas in heat are hunted like prey by ravenous Alphas.

Summary
His touch was light. Gentle. So gentle that Astarion felt like he might break open at the very core.
His palm was warm. Like the sun.
Astarion could have brushed him off so easily; Gale had made sure of it. Had probably anticipated it. Was that why Astarion didn’t want to?

Summary
Just because Gale is nursing some kind of… flame for Astarion—spluttering and flaring but never extinguished, just like the magic within him—there is no reason for their plans to be derailed. There is no need to consider the ache of his own heart when the light of the campfire catches Astarion at a certain angle. The pleasure of his company in Waterdeep will be more than enough to keep Gale content.
