Summary

Summary
The third day of Lucerys refusing to eat. Five days before where he would refuse to even be in Aemond’s presence, screaming at him until his voice went raw and broken or until Aemond would stomp away and out of the chambers. Every time the door finally slammed to a close, the incessant noise would stop as if it had never existed. And every time he’d come back in, it would start again.
But Lucerys has strangled himself with the little trick he had used to keep Aemond at bay. His voice is a ragged thing now, strained and hoarse when the boy speaks above a whisper.
Or, the consequences of Rook's Rest.

Summary
Kinslayer, they name him now. One-eye. Lucerys Velaryon has marked him twice over. Aemond has stolen Driftmark's heir, Rhaenyra and the Rogue Prince's beloved son. His mother and sister will not look at him. Even in death, Aemond will not be free of the boy.
And Lucerys? Lucerys falls, and lives, and remembers everything. He has lost his dragon, failed his Queen’s first command, and proven himself to be exactly as worthless an heir as he told her he would be. They’ll be better off for his loss, all of them.
“Lucerys?” Mother asks faintly.
Lucerys. The name is sweet on her voice. It was a strange name, Aemond thought, right from the go. No power in it. Nothing Targaryen about it, nothing Velaryon, nothing strong. A perfect name, perhaps, for the only omega of Targaryen blood born in two generations.
“He is dead? Aemond?”

Summary
Lucerys and Aemond have been betrothed for a decade before it all comes crashing down.
“You can’t lift me with one hand. Two, maybe.” He knows his face is flushed from the wine.
Aemond’s is, too, high on his cheeks. He murmurs, “Will you take that bet?”
“No.”
“Hm.”
Lucerys used to hate that sound, and he still does, but there’s this sort of new thing that’s started to go wrong in him where Aemond being Aemond makes his stomach leap. He jiggles one leg beneath the table, trying to work the feeling out.
Joff pleads, “Mother, please, can you make them stop.”

Summary
Viserys the Peaceful died with two witnesses; his eldest daughter, Rhaenyra Targaryen, and his first son, Aemond.
They agreed that Viserys’ final words were his late wife’s name and that Aemond would be King.
