This was a simple, but very effective way to tell a story! I loved it as you'll see in my gameplay:
One of my viewers recommended I check your games out Niven Hedinger and I'm glad I did! I had a lot of fun with this one. Thank You for this experience!
Mason did it, yeap lol! Huge thanks for playing, once again, for being so generous with your time and commenting on the game's page, deeply appreciate that. Hope to see more from you! Best of luck with the channel AJ β¨
Thank you so much man! It means a lot to me when someone, who has played my older games continues to support and just keeps being awesome. Thanks a lot!
Hi Niven. Fourth in the line up. What a great little mirco horror, I'd love to see it built out a bit more. But that what mirco horror does best makes you curious. Good job keep it up. Also I do love that blood particle effect really surreal feeling. Keep it up.
Lol, he meant to say suspicious, but was interrupted by the partner officer, Somehow people thought it was Among Us reference - I went with that idea too π Huge thanks again for playing. All the best mate!
Played this as the final game of a 3 Scary Games video, very short game, wasn't thinking much of it at first. But it was entertaining, and interesting. It was an accident, all of it was an accident, I swear.. (time stamps in video description!)
Yet another great game, didn't know you had so many! I will DEFINATELY be playing more. Looking forward to seeing even more games as well, and will try to post them ALL on my channel! :D
Soo, idk what's going on in the comments, but I liked this game. I was impressed that this game was made in such a short period of time. (I really do need to start reading descriptions so I know how long the game will be, I've been surprised twice this week from 2 different games by different people) Good job!
Thanks for playing my game. Don't worry, some people are spamming in my comments and trying to spread toxic ideas about me and mock my games. It is fine. Thanks again for support and feedback π
Hi! I noticed youβd commented on my video. I usually clarify what I liked about the game and what I didnβt to maybe help you in the future but everything is just my opinion so do with it as you please! I would of liked if you had some voice overs seeing that the small game had a lot of dialogue and that it isnβt a visual novel. Also I thought the ending was funny and I enjoyed it. I just donβt like how 90 percent of the game was reading. Cause it didnβt feel much like a game but maybe thatβs what you were going for?
Once again, thanks for playing. Voice over could have been a good idea, yes, but the project was short, it is just that.
Sorry, but the game is listed as an interactive fiction - software simulating environments in which players use text to stimulate and influence the environments and sometimes control characters, works in this form can be understood as literary narratives, in the form of interactive narrations. I truly apologize if the game was not what you thought it would be. I will improve on next games. Sorry.
Edit: Again, sorry if this was a bad experience. Good day.
Kubz Scouts - pretty huge YouTuber played Mason and I was excited with his little playthrough of my silly game. His son, apparently is named Mason and yeah, things ended on a bad note, but I am super happy and proud if this.
This was actually pretty well done; the dialogues were fairly realistic and had the hint of seriousness and darkness to have a great impact. Wasn't expecting it to end that soon, thought it would have gone on for longer (And would have been fun if it had! Though I think you effectively told a story in the amount of time the game took!) Though I personally think that allowing Mason to leave and the officer saying something like, "You won't be gone for long.." would have alluded to the game's ambiguity more and made the reveal more impactful, I still think that the ending was pretty well done! Overall it was a fun smol game!
Thanks for the very detailed and profound feedback π I truly loved the playthrough, especially the voice-over you did and all I can say is, I will definitely try to make a sequel for it. Cheers man π»
The game is not "that short", but it is short. If you skip the dialogue and if you are not invested in the game, I guess all the games can be "that short" - just saying this based on your playthrough, which was just opening and closing the game. But, well, not everyone has the same experience. Good day π
Entertaining game. Not sure if Mason should still be detained if there are no charges pressed and alibi checked out. The ending was unexpected, sort of, didn't know pressing interact would do that. As far as critique (I'm really easy) I'd say it's not intuitive to hop over the fence to do...that. Thanks for creating haha...
Thanks for playing. When you are a primary suspect and have the right to an attorney, unless you say yes, you are detained without 36 and up to 96 hours, because it is a first degree murder, even you have an alibi, which contradicts the finger prints. It does happen, sometimes. As for the "hop over the fence" - there was supposed to be a wall there and every playthrough shows the person going towards the opening. You just simple went the wrong way, for no reason at you got a bug. It is not supposed to be played like that, but well, each player has a different experience. Next time, look at the "clear" opening, which the game provides you with. Thanks π
I would say it's a promising prototype. The dialogue was written very well, apart from the "That's sus" :D, that kind of took me out of it. I think the first scene could use some more ambient texture apart from the light buzzing, just to make the space even more believable.
But apart from that I enjoyed it. Reminds me of the pulp fiction genre, just stories that get straight to the point and deliver what they promised. I would definitely play a longer version of this!
Thanks Mike. Always great to see your review. Well, most people did not understand the gesture, but I guess, nowadays you should make everything direct, because, no offence, people are having hard trouble understanding things. When you are reading, "That's sus...- you click and the sound comes up, meaning that the officer was interrupted - he even says that in the next dialogue. He did not say "sus", he was supposed to say "suspicious" and was cut out. As for the ambient textures, I did not quite understand what you were saying about it. Maybe you meant ambient "noise"? Because then you are correct, the game does need some ambient sounds. Mason's character will definitely return, yes.
Oh yeah that makes a lot more sense now. I guess the way you cut out "suspicious" made me think of the meme first thing, rather than him being cut off by the intercom. Honestly I think if you want to avoid that then the best solution would be to do "suspi-" or something, instead of sus. Cause I think for most players the meme is still the first thing that comes to mind. And yes I meant ambient sounds. Looking forward to what Mason will come up with :D
Nice little game! I kind of wish there was something more to do in the game, but it worked well for what was there and was a change of pace compared to your normal work. Good job and I hope you keep on creating!
It's a nice short game and I liked the banter between the cop and Mason as well. I kinda wish we saw the situations that led up to Mason's current situation. But other then that, nice game.
This was the first game I played in this video! Great job Niven! I thought for what this was, and how short it was, that it was pretty decent! I love the interrogation scene between the cop and the player and the shocking reveal at the end. I do wish there was more clarity on who we were at the end of the game, but I think I got it right! Awesome short game!
Your game starts at 00:00. Great storytelling. It was short and effective. You drew us in and still shocked us at the end. Truly amazing! Keep up the good work.
Great game. Only criticism is that its too short. I think you nailed this very well. You peaked my interest from the beginning with a great story. The atmosphere was maintained the entire time I played.
Warning spoiler below.
I tough the ending was quite cool. We were at the pub 10 hours ago, but 11 hours ago we killed our ex Or did we, I am thinking maybe it was us holding the bat, maybe we just got to control the killer.
Is there another ending in which we can get on our bike and ride way leaving her untouched by us? Maybe we could drop the bat or something only for a killer to come get it.
Thanks for making the game, thought was short I really enjoyed it and have been thinking the possibilities of who the murderer could be if its not us.
Wow! Thank you so much. Usually people give me feedback, but this is just pure motivation and praise. You are very, very kind π Super appreciate the feedback and your thoughts on the game. The game was short, due to me working on multiple projects and publishing them nearly at the same time. There were couple of ideas I was going to execute with the game, yet, the simple "who done it" story was enough, I think. Mason's character is interesting and I will sure make a sequel or even a prequel to this. Will see. Once again, glad you enjoyed the game and hope to see you around my next projects. Cheers! π

Cool and unique concept for a game, I just wish it wasn't so short. I liked the perspective we play as, especially since Mason 100% did it. Good job.

Thanks, I do know without an attorney cops can do quite a bit within the lines. You're correct that it's not black/white.
And, I usually play games off-key, it's just my personality. Even when you say "use the clear opening" I probably still won't find it, lol.
Deeply appreciate the feedback. It was great. Best to you π
