Nature's Turn
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
THEME
Turn based tactics game where you play as the nature on the board instead of the units fighting on it. Made for GMTK Jam 2023 with the theme "Reversed Roles".
HOW TO PLAY
You're playing as nature.
Click an action from the left and then click a tile to apply it to.
Your goal is to keep peace and forests from destruction by the enemies.
Grow your forests. The more forests you have, the more energy you generate.
Flood the rivers to slow down enemies while they are in the water.
Rain down on rivers to extend them.
Create mountains to block enemies' vision and path.
Forests are damaged when fought over by enemies, which makes you lose lives.
You will lose the game when all units are dead or at least two forest tiles have been destroyed.

i finished most of the levels, even though i didnt get some of the mechanics, that was pretty cool! like a board game. losing hp only if enemies fight on a forest tile is quite unique, it ended up being about manipulating pathfinding for me, so they dont fight on a forest tile
Glad you found it interesting!
Hiya thought I should let you know that it crashed when I clicked on the rock at the bottom of level 3 with the mountain brush active. I love the aesthetic though!
Thanks, we’ll look into it :)
