DitD Recommends: Backpack Hero!

Hello everyone! We want to use this devlog to highlight an awesome game that recently became available on Steam, and also give everyone a quick update regarding the state of the project.

Let’s start with the recommendation: some of you might be aware already, but one of our favourite games, Backpack Hero, released three days ago on Steam Early Access! Backpack Hero is an inventory management roguelike with lots of elements in common with Die in the Dungeon. The game is shaping up to be one of the best roguelikes in recent years, so if you end up enjoying it don't forget to leave a positive review!

Now, let’s talk Die in the Dungeon. You probably notice we haven’t released any update in quite some time. This doesn’t mean we’re not working on the game anymore, quite the opposite really. We have spent the last few months hard at work improving the foundations of the game, in preparation for some things we’re not ready to share with you yet. I know all this sounds a bit cryptic, but one thing is for sure: The future of Die in the Dungeon is looking brighter than ever.
