Bahjat Homsi

An award-winning communications and PR expert, journalist, and entrepreneur with more than 21 years of professional achievements.

I direct and oversee all aspects of strategic communications and public relations, including strategy formulation, advisory, campaign development, client relationship management, media planning and project management for governments, development agencies and corporations. I am also active in new business development, helping to achieve the agency’s business goals.

I have led a wide range of strategic projects including the ground-breaking UAE Papal Visit, Emirates Mars Mission (Hope Probe) and Solar Impulse. I have also worked on the establishment of communications centers across the region, and successfully managed public advocacy campaigns to advance the adoption of UN’s SDGs.

Before moving into PR, I started my career in business strategy and development, I then ventured out on my own and built a media startup and partnered with Zawya.com. I then joined Fortune Arabia and became the Managing Editor before making the shift to PR and communications.

In my current position, I manage to combine my business acumen and media expertise to provide strategic counseling and manage national projects and campaigns both in the UAE and the wider MENA region.
