I’m grateful to have been part of an enlightening workshop organized by the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy's (#DSCE)Regulatory and Supervisory Bureau (#RSB) and the Real Estate Regulatory Agency (#RERA). It was an honor to present our #energy #efficiency initiatives at the Dubai World Trade Centre, particularly the strides we've made with our One Central an award winning Grade A-LEED Gold certified development. A heartfelt thank you to the RSB, and especially to Mr. Ramiz Alaileh for their relentless support and leadership in fostering a culture of sustainability and BEMAS accreditation scheme within Dubai's real estate sector. This workshop was not just a forum for sharing best practices but a collaborative space that brought together like-minded professionals dedicated to making Dubai a #global leader in sustainability. نظم مكتب التنظيم والرقابة لقطاع الكهرباء والمياه التابع للمجلس الأعلى للطاقة بدبي، ومؤسسة التنظيم العقاري التابعة لدائرة الأراضي والأملاك في دبي، ورشة عمل مشتركة ركزت على تعزيز كفاءة استخدام الطاقة والمياه في المباني، بهدف دعم سياسة إدارة كفاءة الطاقة لعقارات الملكيّة المشتركة، والتي أطلقتها مؤسسة التنظيم العقاري مؤخراً كأحد ممكنات تحقيق الاستدامة التشغيلية في استهلاك الكهرباء والمياه، قدم مكتب التنظيم والرقابة خلال الورشة شرحاً لبرنامج اعتماد شركات إدارة الطاقة في المباني والذي يعمل كمحفز لتوطيد كفاءة الطاقة في المباني، بما يتماشى مع سياسة إدارة كفاءة الطاقة لعقارات الملكية المشتركة واستراتيجية إدارة الطلب على الطاقة في دبي The Dubai Supreme Council of Energy (DSCE)’s Regulatory and Supervisory Bureau (RSB) for Electricity and Water, in cooperation with the Dubai Land Department’s Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA), organised a joint workshop that focused on enhancing the efficiency of energy and water use in buildings. The workshop aimed to support the energy efficiency policy for joint ownership properties, which was recently launched by RERA. During the workshop, the RSB presented the Buildings Energy Management Accreditation Scheme (BEMAS), which is an enabler for achieving operational sustainability in electricity and water consumption. The scheme works as a catalyst for enhancing energy efficiency in buildings, in line with the energy efficiency management policy for joint ownership properties and the Demand Side Management Strategy for energy in Dubai. In line with its sector engagement activities, the Bureau hosted a briefing session with District Cooling (DC) Permit Holders at the Holiday Inn Dubai Festival City. Productive discussions at the latest RSB Board meeting, welcoming our new Executive Director, Eng. Ramiz Hamdan Alaileh. We delved into evolving matters related to regulating district cooling and billing services as well as licensing Independent Water and Power Producers (IWPPs) in the Emirate of Dubai.
