Today, on International Homeless Animals Day, let’s take a moment to go behind the scenes of the heartfelt initiative we’ve launched in collaboration with the Ras Al Khaimah Animal Welfare Centre (RAKAWC) — ‘Pause for Paws.’ ‘Pause for Paws’ has brought together government entities and business leaders from our community to support one mission: to help find loving forever homes for the deserving animals at RAKAWC. There are currently more than 600 animals up for adoption, and we invite you to join us in showing your support. We are so excited to introduce you to Ripple — our Chief Pawsitivity Officer (CPO) at Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA). Ripple is a very playful, tail-wagging 5-month-old husky pup who arrived at the Ras Al Khaimah Animal Welfare Centre (RAKAWC) as a newborn, abandoned by her family. She was underweight and needed some training, but she has now blossomed into a healthy dog with striking cream and black fur. Ripple can't wait to find a loving home where she can be the loyal friend you've been looking for. Launched in collaboration with RAKAWC ahead of International Homeless Animals Day on August 17 and supported by several government entities and hotels, each week we highlight a cat or dog from RAKAWC with an incredible story of survival. RAKAWC has rescued and rehabilitated four-legged friends for over a decade, and there are currently more than 600 animals up for adoption.
