As an Arab woman, if you want to be part of making history, this is the country where you must be." Powerful words from our very own Amani Alatat, General Manager - Advertising, Saudi Arabia, addressing the ‘Women to Watch Conference’ in Riyadh, organized by CommunicateOnline. Amani presented nuanced and informed views relevant to the communications industry on ‘’Overcoming Cultural Barriers: Strategies for Success’ by reflecting on her experience navigating the professional landscape in Saudi Arabia, offering invaluable advice for those looking to work within this dynamic market. Her views resonate with our fundamental borderless philosophy: It is no longer enough to be culturally intelligent to create authentic work. It is even more important to be multiculturally intelligent, especially in a market like Saudi Arabia that's not only competing but exceeding expectations on the world stage. Thank you, CommunicateOnline, for hosting such an insightful and inspiring event! #Saudi #Women #Leadership #MemacOgilvy

Global 200 Women Power Leaders 2024 | Bridging China & Middle East with Emerging Technology | Venture Building | Women in Tech
Last week, I was speaking at the Women to Watch conference alongside some incredible inspiring panelists Reem Alattas, PhD د. ريم العطاس Bita Lyons, DBAc, MBA-HLA Ohoud AlArifi. It was a remarkable experience, as it was the first time I attended an event where most of the speakers and audience were women. I had the opportunity to share my journey navigating the challenges and experiences of a male-dominated industry, and I left the event feeling deeply inspired by the energy, dive, and motivation of everyone present. Globally, only 21% of C-suit roles are held by women, and in China, this number stands at 19% according to gender gap report 2024 from World Economic Forum. While we’ve made significant strides, these number reminds us of the works that still needs to be done. Achieving true equity requires a collective effort- from supporting one another to breaking down system barriers. Together, we can create an environment where everyone, regardless of gender, ages, or ethnicity, has an equal opportunity to lead and thrive. What are your thoughts on how we can push a more equitable environment in leadership roles? Thank you to the organizers and fellow panelists for making this event such a success. Had the chance to head to Riyadh for the Women to Watch Conference, and what a time to be in the Kingdom! 🇸🇦💚 Seeing firsthand how Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 is driving real progress for women—across education, business, and beyond—highlights the impact and momentum behind the vision. So glad to be part of the marketing team for such a powerful event. Praise be to Allah. To breaking through gender stereotypes!

*Recap from my panel ICYMI Never in a million years did a girl from a small town in Pakistan thought she would be in Riyadh, among all the incredible women entrepreneurs to share her entrepreneurial journey. Because 'if' girls are lucky there, they end up becoming nurses or teachers, rarely doctors but never an entrepreneur. I am proud of my roots, and I will tell the story at every chance I am given. I am also equally proud of being born and brought up in Dubai – just that one decision my dad took changed my life and gave me better opportunities. If you are a young girl or a woman starting out, please do not be brainwashed into thinking you have to fight men in order to be successful, because behind my success is my father who believed in me against all odds. I hope you have someone who believes in you too, but if you do not – believe in yourself and that will be a good enough reason to start your career or entrepreneurial journey. To all the incredible women who made this happen and gave me a chance to share my story – grateful for you Obeida K. Danhach Bissani Sahar R. Nabeela Amatul Pavneet Kaur Fatima Suraj Rahma Monsef and you too Shashank Jay :) Thank you to my fellow panelists, each one of you who shared a unique inspirational journey. I wish you all more success Enas Rashwan Shaden Alsagri Amal Dokhan Abeer Alessa Thank you to all the wonderful men who came to support the event and the ones who could not attend but are always rooting for us. This post would not be complete without mentioning my dearest friend Anthony J Permal who would help me write down my speaking points before every event, proudly supported women in the industry and otherwise. I missed you my friend, would have been more fun if you were here :) Thank you for having me CommunicateOnline NordStella Mediaquest
