I am aware of the crashes, still something I am trying to work out.
As for the text, it's not showing because you hit "ctrl" and hid the dialogue box. If memory serves I had neglected to include that in the tutorial information, which will be rectified.
Well, the name of the character does show up, but there is no text box underneath in which the text should appear. And I do need to hit "Enter" yet to wind to continue the dialogue.
The Ctrl-key would hide the name-box as well, and probably not continue the dialogue upon "Enter".

So this game is never going to be completed? The devs are not even going to post a debugged version of it over here?
I payed for this game, I'd appreciate to receive at least the most recent version available.

The game is bugged. Dialogs don't show up, as well as some menus. Then we get to reply 'yes' or 'no' without an accompanying question.
And the game crashes every now and then (playing on Linux Manjaro using Proton Experimental).
