Wayward is a Python package that helps to identify characteristic terms from single documents or groups of documents. It can be used for keyword extraction and several related tasks, and can create efficient sparse representations for classifiers. It was originally created to provide term weights for word clouds.

Implementation of the term scoring algorithm in Tomokiyo & Hurst (2003), based on Kullback-Leibler Divergence (kldiv). Given a foreground and background corpus, it returns the most descriptive terms of the foreground corpus in the form of a termcloud

This project is to extract term via span embedding, and regard extraction as a span classification task
