Some of the Groove Consistency scores computed by MusPy seem unintuitive to me - perhaps I am missing something or maybe it's a potential bug. Some examples:

2-measure long sequence of kick drums. Measures 1 and 2 are identical.

  • My expected score: 1
  • MusPy score: 0.9668638275862069

One measure of silence and one measure of kick drums

  • My expected score: 0
  • MusPy groove consistency score: 0.9666666666666667

I'm using a measure resolution of 16 - though this value does not seem to impact the scores significantly. I've attached both of the MIDI files described in the tests above here: groove-consistency-test-midi.zip

Any insights into the behavior (or what I'm doing wrong) would be much appreciated!
