Vision and Strategy
Gangwon Arts & Culture Foundation was established to support regional arts and cultural activities, foster talented individuals, excavate and preserve cultural heritage, inherit and develop Gangwon Province’s history and tradition as well as to promote Gangwon culture.

This international visual arts festival was launched for the successful hold of 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics and has remained as an Olympic Cultural Heritage with its new name of "GANGWON TRIENNALES.” As the nation's first cyclic and nomadic international visual art festival held every three years, we promote a participative, sustainable public visual art feast aiming at making Gangwon-province artistic region.
Music in Pyeongchang
Music in PyeongChang is the representative music festival in Korea which is held in the beautiful nature of Gangwon. It has established international reputation by serving as a foundation and inspiring creative musical ideas for promising musicians since its opening in 2004.

Summary of Pyeongchang Daegwallyeong Music Festival
PyeongChang, the host city of the 2018 Winter Games, is located 700 meters above sea level and features mountain ranges and streams that provide for a scenic landscape throughout all four seasons. Each year, the festival has offered a thematic program featuring music that spans from time-honored staples to contemporary experimentations. With the participation of premier musicians, PyeongChang Music Festival has established itself as an internationally renowned event.
The festival has steadily grown by pursuing various transformations, and will continue to expand its premier showcase of world music by encompassing everything from the age-old classical staples to the latest pieces.
