Party floor

The party floor is a hotel floor that a convention designates for room parties, and is typically open from late evening to very early morning. While room parties may be hosted on any floor, the party floor provides a hub for multiple room parties to be held in close proximity. Since alcohol is served at makeshift bars, there will usually be plastic wrap on the walls and floors to make spills easier to clean. A cooldown room, featuring water and snacks, is often provided for the purpose of sobering up.

Room parties may be highly elaborate, with custom decorations, music/video playlists, and rave/disco lights (which are very easy to notice in the room's window). Since room parties are run independently, the party host is responsible for any damage or civil disorder that may arise.
